whats next, he just got an ass whoppen and fouled the hell out of Rios, on PURPOSE. and got a fat lip and black eye.
Very dirty fighter! Those low blows were lower than low! He threw uppercutt right up under Rios' cup! Damn, that had to hurt!
He's only 25. This doesn't have to be the end. He does need to toughen up, though - and learn how to not fall to pieces when someone takes away his jab.
I don't know what the hell happened to Peterson in that fight, but he was awful. Not saying he would beat Rios if he was better but, damn, he fought a stupid fight. Hopefully, as another person stated, he'll get tougher and not have an epic meltdown next time he's getting torched.
maybe they do it to make the opponent think the punch is doing more damage than it really is? lol wow, Rios was just walking right thru, and sometimes smiling after a hit. The Petersons are showing that they got featherdusters for fists at B/A level. Rios proved that Power is a great equalizer. And timing can change an entire fight with one punch. The real victim is Rios in 2 ways. His nutsack really suffered for Peterson's fight bail-out. And Peterson disqual'd himself out and robbed Rios a sure victory and great feather in his cap. Unfortunately for Rios, this fight will be more recognized as Peterson's DQ'ing himself out than Rios' effective pressure attack that led to Peterson finding a way to bail out of the fight...
Peterson nice speed good dig to the body este nuts but has a tough opponent that takes and gives back hard.PETE is a prospect who is used to taking BUMS and smashing them but he get's a real fighter infront of him this time, WOW..wake up call for Anthony Peterson.Rios ain't no push over. Anthony got asked a few questions tonight and learnt he has things he needs to work on to reach the next level like toughness, heart and defense.Simple case of a padded fighter stepping up and got SHOOK..
epic meltdown lol - i like that he seemed to have a good first round and looked like it was going to be this way for the whole fight. But in the 2nd round he started to tarry in the pocket w/ Rios. I think he was trying to prove that he could beat Rios in his own game. But i think Anthony realized that he couldnt hurt Rios but was seriously feeling Rios' power. Yet Peterson continued to oblige him in his own game and continue to lose. Rios kept pushing combinations thru and Peterson's defense sucks and knew there was nothing he could do to mitigate the imminent damage. When the obvious lowblows started coming in, and when he had no answers to his trainer, i knew he was going to disqual himself out later on. He had an Epic Meltdown after he tried to do his own thang and failed miserably.... im thinking that he felt there wasnt enuf of the fight left to salvage a victory
