BOTH Peterson brothers are showing that they're falling way under the expectations that many had for them in this sport. Having said that, I think both brothers can still rebound in their young careers and maybe win a title along the way. Although, I never thought for a second that either brother had what it took to be a great, elite level fighter. They're well schooled fighters, I just never saw top level talent in either of them.

I hear what your saying and you got it right they cant beat a top 10 pfp guy like Bradley or what appears to be a future star in boxing RIOS. I think both brothers are still good enough to be solid contenders though.

I made a thread a while back called: "What fighters has/had the worst 'Corner Team' in Boxing?" Zab Judah topped the list, now you can add The Peterson Brothers to this list. Both Anthony and Lamont have "All the Goods" to be pure Boxers. Tall, Long Armed, excellent jabs, good movement and quick feet. But I have seen fight after fight of the Peterson Brothers and time n' time again they're standing "in the pocket" trying to slug it out with SLUGGERS. Makes NO sense at all. Now both Anthony and Lamont recently suffered their 1st loss...and the only thing that has gotten exposed is their TRAINER!!!!

What we saw is what a determined kid can do. He came to fight and that he did. Peterson broke down mentally.

And yeah I'm disappointed in both Peterson brothers. I don't see them going too far in the game, but it might happen.

11 pounds is a LOT to give up at lightweight where every pound is precious.

No doubt that Rios was a lot bigger, but thats not what won him the fight. Peterson didn't do **** in this ****. He would come off with flurries, but Rios would come right back to do work. Peterson would have lost regardless.

    That's silly.

Lamont Peterson suffered his 1st loss because he slugged it out with a slugger? Yeah, that's Tim Bradley alright - grade A slugger.

Also, the nature of their two losses was completely different. Lamont gave a good account of himself but lost to the best light welterweight in the world - no shame there.

Anthony failed because of his own mental deficiencies. Once Rios took away his jab by just stepping right through it and timing it with his own punches, Peterson folded like origami. Barry Hunter kept screaming at him to get separation and box on the outside behind the jab. Anthony ignored his cornerman for six straight rounds. Hunter could not have been any more explicit in his instructions (which were the right strategy to give his fighter a chance) and he couldn't have been more authoritative or motivational in his tone between rounds. ANTHONY ****ED UP.

When Tony Thompson had the fight of his life, giving Wladimir Klitschko more problems than anybody else in the last six or seven years has given him (except maybe Brock) - who was in Tiger's corner?

Barry Hunter is an underrated trainer if anything, and blaming him for the Peterson brothers suffering their first losses (which would have happened anyway with ANYBODY in their corner - Lamont because Bradley's just the better man, and Anthony because he doesn't have the mental fortitude to stand up to the pressure of someone like Bam Bam) is just ludicrous. You've just exposed yourself with that silly comment.
