I have seen in this forums that anthony peterson will beat juan diaz. From what im seeing juan diaz makes easy work of him.nothing especial other than his tight defense. i dont see enough power on him or activity to keep up with juan.

You gotta watch the whole fight before you make comments like that. He took this guy into deep waters then drowned him. He let that Cuban punch himself out, kept pumping the jab, kept a tight defense, and continually landed that counter left hook. After the Cuban started running out of gas, Peterson turned up the pressure and closed the deal.

He's a good fighter who will only get better, but he would definitely not beat Juan Diaz. He would get stopped...

Diaz would KO him. I can't see anybody at 135 beating the baby bull.

Well yea he waited for izquierdo to get tired... thats not much of a strategy. It wont work with the top guys. And like i said i only said this because i have heard alot about this kid on here and people saying he would destroy Juan Diaz and no he wouldnt he is pretty good but Juan Diaz is just amazing.

Diaz is feather fisted, he couldn't even KO Julio Diaz. Give Peterson another couple of fight's and he'll be ready for the top guy's. You can't go by just one fight to examine somebody, that's what you dumbasses did with Paul Williams.

How the hell do you figure Diaz would stop Peterson? Diaz is not a big hitter. Peterson is a big, strong LW, with a good chin and that Winky Wright like D. No way in hell he would stop Peterson.

You have to fit your strategy to your opponent. If you're going against a wild swinging guy who struggled to make weight, banking on him getting tired isn't a bad idea. As far as Diaz goes, I think he is seriously overrated on this forum. He's a good fighter, but not special like people make him out to be.

Diaz has enough power to keep his opponents honest. Not to mention the amount he throws making it almost impossible for his opponents to throw anything back. And yes Anthony was nothing special tonight and his resume is not so great either. all bums

Juan Diaz is a very good fighter with quick hands and throw's good combinations. But he really didn't impress me much when he was a prospect too. That's partially because he was very young, that's why I'm saying give Peterson a couple more fight's and than decide. I think Peterson is a harder puncher, is a bit quicker, and has a better jab than Diaz did as a prospect. I think the physical skills are there he's just inexperienced.

Diaz has a furious workrate, amazing stamina, with a PROVEN chin. Peterson has never had to fight at that kind of pace and he would be getting hit more than ever from all different angles as the fight progresses. Diaz is not a big hitter, but he has good power and he wears guys down. It's not out of the question to say he would get stopped.

Either a late TKO for Diaz or a wide UD

From what I saw of Diaz against Jose Miguel Cotto, I think as of now Diaz would beat Peterson but it would be a close fight.

Peterson looked good tonight but it was against a guy who was very limited. Anothony's defense is mostly just covering up, almost no head movement.

When he covers up like that for long periods of time, he leaves his body open. Juan Diaz will capitalize that and punish that body.

Hes 26-0, time to stop padding the record with hand picked guys who have no chance.

Diaz does not have good power. If he did with the amount of flush clean punches he lands on guys he would be putting them on there ass. He does not. Popo quit out of frustration and he is a quitter anyway. Peterson can damn for sure hang with Juan. He has defense and that right there gives Juan a tough fight. What, is he going to punch gloves. Juan DOES NOT throw from a whole lot of different angles b/c he is not even agile to twist and turn you know nothing dick riders. He has a GREAT jab and very fast combinations. Peterson outclassed this HUGE mother****er he was fighting tonight. He had him by at least 10 pounds. He was sloppy but tough with good power. You guys dont know **** about boxing.
