Anthony would have to speed up and box Baby Bull he wouldn't outwork him on the inside dude is just to tough...and he has a bad habit of yelling while he's punching which is never good because they know your punching especially while jabbing and his jab is coo' but it doesn't have that snap to it its almost like he puts it out there and then jumps with it...he could beat Juan because he has the natural talent and built but he needs more work on the little things Juan probably could expose so if they fought tomorrow. Juan all day give him a few more fights with some tough opposition then i would favor Anthony

    ???????

He'll give JUan Diaz ONE HELL of a FIGHT!!!! IN truth? Even though I'm a BABY BULL FAn as well? IF AP threw an upperfcut more OFTEN? Meaning almost like AT ALL? He would have a favorable shot at pulling out a WIN vs THE CHAMP! GREAT CHANCE vs whst might be lightweight Fight of the Year Candidate, vs Michael Katsidis

Diaz vs Peterson has two hookers going to WAR! Whomever can control the mental battle, a long with the risk, is the WINNER HERE!!!! Hopefully punctuation will be provided in the performances.

IMO? AP is a furue CHAMP!!! He has a great game, just a little more and he's quite a 135lb fighter/athlete!!!

Yeah people forget this guy was a tough cuban who had alot of amateur fight's and upset a prospect on Shobox. This guy was bigger than Peterson and was no pushover. They have also looked past the fact that he had never been stopped before.

Diaz' power is underrated. Maybe it's not that big to produce one-punch KO's but his punches are quick, landing cleanly and constantly - he broke down both Freitas and Diaz and he punches hard enough not to let his opponents be too aggressive. In 2007 Diaz seemed to be more mature and much stronger. JD is no KO artist but ask any of his last opponents if they like to get hit with those "little" shots.

Anthony Peterson is a good fighter, good prospect. In 2008 I wouldn't give him too much chance against a quicker, busier Diaz but he is just 22 and has a lot of potential so a year from now after a few fights - he needs to fight a top condender - will be ready for a world title fight. He'll have to bring his A game though because 2009 will be the year of Khan too and it doesn't look like Diaz is ready to leave.

LW is getting better and better!

Anthony Peterson is not going to be anything significant, the fact that people are seemingly sold on him shows something significant about boxing fans.

That is a pic of Lamont. :good

As far as Anthony is concerned, some of you people have obviously not seen many of his fights.

He is an awesome prospect, on his way to being a serious contender and future belt-holder.

I think he'd give Diaz trouble now, but would prefer if he had a few more fights before taking on the Baby Bull.

 That's OK, because Lamont looked better last night than he HAS previously. I've watched these cats from the beginning and I have always felt Lamont wasnt the best of the two. Yet, last night we saw what looks like a step in the maturation process for him. But I still like AP as the 1.

I think Lamont is the better technical boxer, but Anthony is an exciting rib-breaking bad ass.

They both have the skill to be something special, still need to see how well they dig down deep.

I stand by my assessment of Williams and Linares mate, they haven't done anything significant yet.

    Significant = Serious champion.

And they won't become that if they fight anybody worth a damn, Peterson I think even less of, don't be blind, he's not that great.

    :nono

Every guy has some flaws, but AP is rising to the top level. It sounds like one of those OCCASIONS where you're feelings are getting in the way of THE ASSESMENT.:yep

AP has D, patience, and a very solid ATTACK. The only thing missing is more uppercuts off the inside and he's going to give Diaz a hell of a fight. I like Peterson and the Baby Bull both, as a fan? Who wouldnt watch the fight???

AP will dig down DEEP dont worry!! He did a very nice job last night against a dirty fighter. He showed discipline in staying under control and following the game plan. He took his time breaking his man down and has more of the whole package. Envisioning match ups vs Casamayor, Baby Bull, or Katsidis are getting closer and I like his chances.

Lamont's a boxer, but for the most part his punches arent as effective as Anthony's. Last night he finally looked more solid and its a good sign. If you think Lamont vs Witter, PM, or Hatton? I think its not working out too well for him just yet, perhaps ever.
