will fight for the Southern Area light-middleweight title on January 12 at York Hall.

The fight was confirmed at a press conference today, with an all-too preditcable war of words breaking out between the fighters.

in July doesn't seem to have knocked motor-mouth Small's confidence, and he was his usual brash self as the pair exchanged insults.

For what it is worth, my money is on SMALL.

time for small to rebound from the pryce defeat and comeback in style here.

he'll need to concentrate and not get careless like he did against pryce.

Agreed, what is interesting (IMO) is that both fighters last fight was a loss to Pryce...

I thought tak looked poor during his forays to welterweight, I'd say he's a natural light middle who 4 or 5 years ago would've given small trouble. Cant see him doing so now though. As much as I dislike the guy, Small to win.

Too small? He started his career at 154! He only dropped to 47 because he was getting beat too much at 54 despite thinking he was really that good.I liked Tak but its official: his a journeyman. Tak can be outboxed quite easily and Small has good boxing skills in abundance but the one thing Tak can do is bang.So Small better keep his chin down or its lights out.Dam shame for Tak though. In times past he was challenging for the WBO.Now his been reduced to area level comp..

Good step up for Small though and his a better opponent than Pryce.Hopefully ne can build on that loss and realise the stupid mistakes he made.

Il tell you.All style and no substance.Small has talent but the kid is too aloof. He really thinks his that good.We can all box like where RJJ but he doesnt have the tools the fundamentals nor the talent to be that cute in the ring. Its a poor and tired imitation and imitations always get shown up for what they truly are.His making the right steps by fighting Tak and if he buckles down and gets rid of the hoopla he raise his game to a Euro level. But i wont be holding my breath.

I'll be going to this bill. Mitchell v Johanneson should be good and Tak v Small is a good undercard fight.

I'm confused that Billy-Joe Saunders is on the undercard. I saw him fight on the England v USA amateur card on Dec 3rd, where he said he was looking to get Neil Perkins' olympic spot at Welterweight. The boxrec record says he has already had a pro fight on 13th October 2007, that he is Hertfordshire based (like the amateur) and that he fights at the same weight. Are there two people with the same name from the same place or have boxrec ****ed up?

What's going on? Surely he couldn't have had a pro fight and still fought against the USA and be looking to go to the Olympics? Does anyone have any info or can anyone help?

I think he was killing himself to make 147, did you see his fight with magee? If you ever do put the fight on fast forward, that way it looks like real time pace.

I really enjoy watching Anthony Small fight. I really think the guy has talent and taks is on his way down.

I really hope that Small can stay focused in this one, and knock taks out. Smalls biggest enemy is over-confidence and show boating.
