As someone who lost a friend in December due to a suicide bomber in Afghanistan I just think that comments like these are incredibly distasteful, and whoever writes them should be ashamed of themselves.

Hopefully Anthony Small suffers a career ending beating in his next (and hopefully last) fight.

well i didnt mean to hurt you, i just said the truth and what i felt. your one friend died, my brothers and sisters all around the world are dying everyday.

As I've said, I'm not particularly up on the ins and outs of Islam.... but it seems odd to me to identify more with a person you are never going to meet in another country than someone who you may see at work every day.

Oppressive - well, that's ironic given that most Islamic regimes are more oppressive than western societies, especially in their attitudes toward women.

Anyway..... I'm done with this thread now. All I can hope for is that the friends (about five or six) that are still out there return home safely and the whole thing is ended asap.

Anthony Small should get off his soapbox.

If he spent half as much time concentrating on providing a good show for the fans as he does spouting shite he might be a decent fighter.

 

I fail to see what is wrong in what Anthony Small has said and done but I think the appropriate secondary action for those who support what he has said is to try and educate people about that message and I don't think you need to take on such a confrontational attitude to convey the message you wish to on this forum.

You have to accept that people are approaching this from a different perspective and you will need to break down an emotional and intellectual barrier before you can convey that message.

You also have to accept that people are having a difficult time in distinguishing between a politically and socially minded muslim and a supporter of the ****ing Taliban. Every Muslim I have ever met has taken on the responsibility to educate and I think that you would be wise to do similarly.

None of this stops Small being a grade A ***** though.

 

Everything, because he doesn't concentrate. He's too busy talking and dancing and acting in the ring and if he had prepared correctly and was in the proper mental state approaching a fight he might actually perform. Instead he's talking **** at weigh ins and making videos on YouTube, he needs to get serious about the sport.
