Yeah i mentioned Amir Khan not Naz atsch
I was never a fan of Naz. I didn't like the way he behaved, Although some good came of his antics boxing wise i sat back and enjoyed Barrera beating him. And his fall from grace is because of his arrogance and his nastyness IMO.

I just made a remark on what i felt about convert's to religion not converts to Islam.

What are your thoughts on British Troops?? Just wanted to know before i head back to the pondlife.....

My thoughts on British Troops? Collectively or individually? Individually - I certainly dont see them as heros like the way you do, they are guys that make a choice to enter a career where they purposefully kill people in an Army that has a history of invading other peoples countries, not a choice I would make unless I was pushed into a corner. Collectively - the results of the British Governments Saville report confirmed my worst suspicions.

Well when did i say that no born and bred Muslim acted the way Small did??? You jumped the gun. I made a general statement about my views on people of all faiths who covert.

Some go die hard and change there lifestyle and views completely, some don't and some do what Small did and go completely to point where he's addicted to it.

Khan doesn't use his faith to intimidate people because it's not needed. He is well brought up. He maybe a ***** and arrogant and his stupid comment about being white was met with a rather angry response from his father. It is a point that yes some people take is as that but then is Small doing any good for his faith but claiming that our troops are on a level with a vile human scumbag like Hitler???

well it looks like small has just finished his career. what a foolish action to take. i won't say nothing about religion, because anyone who believes in god that much in this day and age is stupid in my opinion anyway.

 

Small hasn't actually done anything wrong, he has only expressed what he believes, and thats fine so long as in doing so he didn't break the law. Any sanction of AS based on his beliefs would be perverse in the extreme.

This is the proper course of action for people to take who feel strongly enough about what AS has done...vote with your feet....having said that, he couldn't fill a phone box before this episode so I don't rank his chances now. The worst part of the whole scenario for Small is that if he actually gets to a position where he is ranked for a shot at a world title and that fight is scheduled for the US he simply won't get in now, he hasn't broken the law but the US immigration people will not like the sorts he associates with. Lesson for life, keep your mouth shut until you have finished your career...nice own goal Anthony.

 

i see no reason to ban him from boxing in this country just because his views upset alot of british people. that's actually a very stupid reason to ban someone from boxing. the damage has been done for small, he's lost his promoter, and his fights now might have so much violence outside of the ring that promoters won't want to take a chance on putting him on the bill. he might have to find another job.

 

yes there could be negative repercussions as a result of his actions.

there certainly will be promoters who consider that putting Small on a show is more hassle than it is worth - the negative publicity, additional security costs, potential boycott by some fans etc - he must have been aware of the consequences of taking such a bold and public stance in todays society.

 

i'm not sure what's going through his head. maybe he thought it'll help his career by getting negative feedback like it's helped floyd in his career, but this is different, this is a negative reaction that could turn nasty. this is going beyond boxing now, and he's a very stupid man for what he's done. i'm not sure who he's hanging around with, or who his advisers are, but his career is most likely over now.

 

i think he's took publicity seeking to far,if hes got a problem with foreighn policy, he's needing to protest to the politicians who implemented it, a soldiers job is not to qestion his orders, and no matter what peoples opinion is, it shouldent be the soldeir who takes flak, he just does what is getting a more and more dangerous job.
