Anthony Small is a ****. I'm against the war and not totally comfortable with what I inrterpret to be "victory" parades but to go down to a march and purposely seek to create racial tension in an area that doesn't need that kind of **** anymore is a disgrace. If Anthony Small ever appears in a British ring I for one will not be watching. He can **** right off.
exactly, freedom of speech, freedon of will, freedom of choice! I am not sure he will actually have lost many fans to be honest - how many tickets you reckon he sells personally himself?
I agree with this 100% (I've no real view on the rest) :good He needs blackballing by TV and promoters alike.
What he is actually doing in the first picture is the same as someone waving a German flag in London in 1940, its got jack **** to do with freedom of speech to be honest. You wave a Nazi flag in 1940 you would have got locked up for the duration, Small waves that piece of **** and he gets a free pass :-(
Yep. All the things soldiers earn for us and pay for with their blood. You think any of those protesters believes in freedom of speech, will, or choice? Facking hell.
small once came out to the ring to an islamic prayer whilst wearing a "scream" mask which is in itself pretty insulting to his own religion. complete nob, and boring, so no redeeming qualities really
Former British boxing champion Anthony Small was among the group of protesters who screamed abuses at troops returning from Afghanistan. Small, who now calls himself Abdul Haqq, joined a 50-strong group of demonstrators calling themselves Muslims Against Crusades during the march through Barking, East London, on Tuesday. The group chanted "Murderers!" and "Baby killers!", and waved placards saying "British Soldiers Go To Hell" at the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment. After the incident, the 28-year-old ex-Commonwealth light middleweight title holder has also been dropped by his manager Frank Warren, who branded him "a disgrace". "I don't want anything to do with him. What he's doing just fans the flames," The Sun quoted Warren, as saying. Meanwhile, Charlene Byrne, whose partner was killed while the regiment served in Afghanistan, said: "It's disgusting that extremists hijacked this parade." Small, however, refused to apologize and vowed to do the same again. "I'm a Muslim first and a boxer second. These people are killing my brothers and sisters," Small said. "They come back to this country and parade medals they've won by killing. A man is not a man unless he stands up for what he believes in," he added. How does Small's opinions compare to Muhammad Ali's back in the 60s, or worse, Jack Johnson's in the 1910s? I'd say pretty well, there's no witch hunt against his views, whereas Johnson, who merely wanted blacks to be treated equally to whites was hounded relentlessly for it. Anthony Mundine's career didn't suffer to much after he expressed support for 9/11, and Australia is even more vehemently supportive of the US then the UK is.
