French stoppages are clearly a thing too. Nvm my stream skipped over the first knockdown.

Lol, over in the first round.

They started exchanging jabs with Yoka stepping in and pushing Johan a lot for some reason. Then he lands like 4 right hooks which JD just doesn’t really try to block or get out the way of. They eventually hurt him, then Yoka works the body, throws in an uppercut and JD goes down. He gets up, same sort of thing happens. Yoka nails him with a nice uppercut to send him down again, ref waves it off.

You know... I think that might just be a dive. One French guy putting over another, giving him his biggest win of his career, and way faster than Wilder and Povetkin.... not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I'm not buying this. Although that uppercut was nasty, the hooks that started it weren't.

ah he could of had another go. waved off too fast. he was getting stopped because there was so much time on the clock, but not a good stoppage.

Not to mention he never hit the canvas vs Wilder and took the Povetkin fight on a 24hours notice.

Round 1 Yoka wins by TKO

Here's a proper rundown... from memory. Yoka coms out, leaps on Johann fast, starts dropping hard sweeping rights hooks to the temple repeatedly, which Johann seems like a sitting duck for, he backs him along the ropes and into the corner, puts him down, he's very wobbly, but gets up, then right back on him, strafing him with the same right hook over and over, Johann not defending at all, like he seemingly can't prepare for thesame shot over and over, then Yoka lands a peach of an uppercut that sends him sailing back and he lands on his ass, the ref waves it, it's over.
