Yarde strikes me as a boxer who will be totally befuddled by even the most basic of movers. Someone like Buatsi would have him dizzy with footwork alone....

 

Glad I didn't tune in. What's this guys issue? He packing grade A British china or what? He looks like a formidable guy, that would have at least a punchers chance against Beterbiev, but he was a coward and didn't want the smoke. Wonder if Beterbiev would have been able to get up if that was Yarde dropping him, instead of that lighter punching guy.

 

Sorry, but Yarde's opponent wasn't a garbage man, he was a bin man. And by that I don't mean someone who empties the garbage can but someone who rummages around the garbage can for food scraps!

 

He's some skipper tho.

 

How the hell is Yarde the main event in a show where you expect people to pay!!! That fight wouldn't be the main event in a show at the local gym with free entry. Yarde needs to STFU or start fighting creditable opponents.

I am not even talking about the top 5 british LH's. Anyone between 10-20 in the British rankings would suffice!!! FFS, Yarde is pisstake of monumental proportions!

 

In my opinion FW is either delusional or just blatantly lying if he thinks he is selling 30-40 thousand tickets for Dubois Vs Gorman by the end of next year.

Where does he get those figures from? Dubois and Gorman might be a great domestic fight but when have they been or even given the impression they are huge draws?

It's just another example of how much rubbish FW talks, it also highlights the Wilder Vs Fury predictions of PPV and Ticket sales he believes they will do, that comment alone about Gorman and Dubois says to me he hasn't got a clue what he is talking about these days.

For example Joshua Vs Whyte was at the O2, that was AJ's 15th fight and Whyte 17th. The O2 has a capacity of about 20,000? And Dubois Vs Gorman is going to double that?

Yarde is boxing in front of a empty arena, it was horribly empty, I actually felt embarrassed for all concerned, that was the main event FFS.

And I get people on here slaughtering Hearn for the rubbish he talks, and make no mistake Hearn talks rubbish too but he does deliver on a regular basis when it comes to PPV numbers and ticket sales and that's what a promoter should be judged on.

 

Sounds like Warren should be absolutely ashamed of himself for making such a pathetic main event.

 

Wally "beast of the Andes" Sequeira deserves a rematch imo. Just sayin.

 

Okay, I've calmed down a bit and just want to say the following.

If Frank Warren and Anthony Yarde thinks that that card/fight is going to make an impression with Americans, they are right, it will have made an incredibly BAD impression. I will not watch another Yarde fight until he fights someone with a recognisable name. I will also steer clear of any Warren card until he has someone who has achieved something on the card.

If I am ESPN, I will look for the quickest way out of the deal with Warren as cards like this only put people off the product rather than getting them interested in the product.

 

BT boxing tweeted asking who you want to see Yarde fight next, top reply was "a full time boxer"
