Anthony Yarde's bum carousel continues

Yes, it’s a forum and you can say what you feel. However, when you post nonsense like the above about Yarde constantly it becomes very tiresome and IMO depletes the quality of the thread. I couldn’t care less whether you and others are being negative, positive or neutral about a subject as a long as people are posting something halfway constructive it only adds to the debates.

 

it makes me laugh though, yarde and lowe both think they are getting some big coverage stateside and there fights aren't even going to be televised

 

So you’re saying there’s a limit to the amount of times you’re allowed to slag someone off? Do me a favour! Either read someone’s rant or scroll on but don’t go on about what’s proper and what’s not. I’ve not called anyone names I’ve just repeated my view every time PADIDAS gets a bum fight. If he gets another 20 bum fights then you’ll see another 20 rants....simple.

 

What does more good? To both Yarde and Warren? Putting him in with someone half decent domestically and propping up a **** poor December 22nd card when you’re going head to head with your rival or fighting on a Facebook stream that about 300 Americans will watch and all brits will be in bed?

 

Every time a Yarde fight is announced I look forward to @Dragon Punch defending old fish eyes to the hilt.

It does make a total mockery of the ranking system though- how on earth can you maintain a number 1 challenger position and not fight anyone in the top 50?

 

To be fair last time out he did fight his first top 35 ranked fighter.

 

Lowe and Yarde's fights will be on tape delay on BT Sport PPV, before they go into the main PPV part. Be at the expense, for the UK, of getting the only other good fight of the night in Stevenson/Gvozdyk. Pretty much seals the deal that I wont be staying up to watch, could of put up with the dross undercard if we got Stevenson/Gvozdyk.

 

I've gave up with Yarde.

Just keep feeding him more bums so I can watch Twitter implode and Frank Warren having fits when Yarde's level of opponents is brought up.

 

As I said, I don’t care whether your critical or not. I just think it’s a bit tedious reading the same post about “padidas yarde” over and over again. But others I’m sure think differently, so crack on.

 

Nah, mate- what I try to do is apply some balance to my comments instead of just jumping off the deep end with over the top criticism. I panned the last Yarde opponent as a complete joke as soon as it was announced, however, at the same time I recognised that they did at least try to get better opponents like Sean Mognahan (who would have been an excellent choice) but they couldn’t get it over the line.

 

I didn't see you pan his last opponent but if you did call him out for his last opponent then fair play.

I think people are just frustrated and irritated by Yarde and FW.

If they (Team Yarde and FW) just came out and said they were taking it slowly and it is what it is and didn't have him headlining cards and kept a low profile then I think people would be more forgiving.

I had/have a similar problem with Conor Benn, Eddie Hearn and Sky so it's not just because it's FW and Yarde, they do a similar thing with Benn, they talk him up endlessly, I've heard "world class" during a commentary, yeah really, anyway then they put him in with another light punching fighter nobody has heard of instead of having a decent domestic fight.

I want Benn in with Chris Kongo, it's a great little fight and I believe the only reason they haven't is because Kongo beats the snot out of Benn.

To be fair to them they have calmed it down somewhat recently because Benn struggled in a couple and it was starting to sound ridiculous.

Anyway, that's the problem, either put up or shut up, stop putting Yarde high up the card or even headlining, stop hyping him, Yarde himself should stop giving it the bigg'un over twitter and people will lay off Yarde.

 

I would love to know the business decision behind him fighting over there instead of Dec 15 or 22nd as well- I guess we need frank to explain. I think they probably couldn’t get a decent opponent and they know the PR from the Sequia fight was a distaster and didn’t want to do something similar again so soon. So they’ve chosen to do it over in the states instead. It’s not great, I get that but hardly the end of the world.

As I said earlier, they need to make a serious move early in 2019 or people (myself included) will not be bothered.

Yarde is doing a good job at padding his record. Buatsi v Burton will be decent in December. I think Buatsi and yarde will meet at some point but yarde isn't preparing for the tough tests in the right way.

I would like to see buglioni v yarde early next year see where he is then.
