Anthony Yarde's bum carousel continues

I'd actually still like to see that fight.

 

I think Burton boxes rings round him.

 

Would not be surprised if he did. If Arthur can keep him at the end of a jab all night you would think Hosea could or any decent boxer with a bit of reach for that matter. Yarde just had no answer for it.

 

I agree, Yarde needed better match making early, tougher and trickier opposition than what he had, I'm not suggesting he should have been in 50/50's but Yardes resume is littered with small LHW's who can't punch.

He has suffered because of the lack of quality opposition, he has also suffered from the lack of sparring, they wouldn't have had to have been full out heavy spars, he could have been having technical sparring sessions and learning against better fighters than himself.

He looks like a fighter with some natural talents but has been handled terribly.

 

Had Yarde of walked through Arthur and stuck it on him like he did in the 12th he could have easily got him out of there . Lets not completely write the fella off yet. He did not seem to get the message that Arthur had damaged his right hand.

Arthur could have made the fight easy had he followed the Kov blue print. I don't mean just having a long jab.
Arthur didn't have confidence throwing the right hand bc he was scared of the shoulder roll and counter but he landed a few clean rights which had yarde hesistant for a good 2 rounds

so in a rematch, it's easy work for Aruther if he employs the right strategy, that is.....

jab to the shoulder to disrupt moment and follow up to the face
jab to the face, follow up with right hand to the elbow when he gets into the philly shell so no counter,

be ready for the step back jab,
when yarde tries to bumrush, smother his work but no egregious holding

 

I also think that Yarde is going to be so focused on the 12th round that in a rematch he thinks he will try to start earlier and it's easy work but here's the catch

1.) his conditioning is sh!t3
2.) Aruthur will be focusing on how to land the right more often
3.) yarde will get hit more

so i would say the rematch is still a 50/50 fight, however, i am not as confident aruther will win as i had predicted the first time. if yarde gets into shape, he breaks arthur...

It might be corrected with time.
Look how helpless was Burton vs Bolotņiks. Didn't helped nor height nor reach advantage. Okey, always are in place excuses like " was just overpowered " just a fluke but actual reason is skills level difference. It is painful to admit with a glance especially vs non westerner.
He basically needs to spar with taller and larger dudes that are ranked higher than he.
For example vs Usyk etc alike.

Don't think that he is not perspective. He needs some 3-4 #25- #100 guys to fight with after stepping up, not alone Kovalev. Okey, Kov now is older than he was vs Yarde.

 

Not bad dude and brawe, went almost all distance vs Kovalev, this matters. It is easier to crush 30 bums than went 10 rounds vs even 36 y.o Kovalev.
Ofc he does have a lot of flaws and weak points. Still he is not a bum. Might improve.

 

I was surprised how much bigger across the chest and back Arthur looked than Yarde and how much taller he was - especially with Arthur crouching some of the time. Just shows how small some of Yarde's opponents have been cause i always thought he was massive at the weight - maybe not

Yarde getting into shape isn't the issue. He has 0 boxing IQ. He can't cut the ring off effectively. Doesn't know to use effective pressure, has no jab, his head movement leaves him open to attack - he needs a lot of work. To be honest i'd stop him trying to shoulder roll and just go for a basic high guard and work on his foot speed

 

Steven Ward looks considerably larger than Arthur and like he is heavier ? than tall Burton too.

honestly, if i lost to a fighter with one hand, i would retire instantly, i would take my own life the bushido way due to the shame

 

If Lyndon could beat him basically one handed, it doesn't bode well for Yarde in a rematch to be honest.

What is it they say about rematches, usually the same result but more convincing or over even quicker, i saw nothing to suggest Yarde would fare better, but it will be interesting to see Arthur putting both hands on him next time.

Anyone who can box and move for 12 rounds. With the stamina to not lay on the ropes at any point beats Yarde.

He has no idea whatsoever on how to get inside a jab. His training team is guilty of criminal neglect.
