It's a step up from his previous opponents. Sadly Yarde is under Frank Warren, so don't expect him to be fast-tracked.
If Yarde and his team were not so mouthy, I would have no problem with his level of competition and would have accepted the fact he had little amateur career and needed to take it slow. When he and his team talk as much as they do, they raise expectations. In regards to this fight, in comparison to his previous competition this is a step up. Sjejloka is tough and durable and is coming off a draw with Stieglitz I believe.
great step up fight for him. about time if he breezes thru it to a ud 120-108 decision or anything close to that then its time to stop being so hard on him lol
Better opponent as I expected for Anthony "back" Yarde. Maybe they start to understand that fighting pushovers won't help him along.
100% - I just watched the press conference... He said Buglioni is obsessed with him and has been calling him out. I am far from a Buglioni fan and think he is on borrowed time but he is certainly not obsessed with Yarde... Fighting the level of opposition Yarde has been fighting doesnt get you to British title level and you cant be calling out the champion then refusing to fight any eliminators you dont fancy.
Never heard of him but few saying it's a decent step up, which is a good sign I don't think Yarde will go as far as I thought maybe 1 yr ago. Can't see him beating the likes of Gvozdyk Bivol Beterbiev Kovalev etc, and they won't even do big numbers in UK Unfortunate timing for him
Definite step up, looked at his record and this guy has been in with decent enough opposition; Stieglitz, Zeuge, Abraham, Bika, Callum Smith... only got a draw out of all that versus Stieglitz but the guy has never been stopped. He seems durable if nothing else so can at least get to see how Yarde's gas tank holds out. Would be a statement is he gets blasted out in a few rounds.
