And it should be fair that if Mundine and Green meet again that they fight at a weight in between their divisions, something like 76.2kg
Thats pretty much the super middle limit, which is what green claims to have stuggled with....
Have you ever known Mundine to fight where he didn't think that he held all the Aces? (Kessler excepted of course)
haha what a ****ing joke. Have you noticed the Mundine huggers have disappeared from the forum of late? When even your staunchest loyalists turn their back you know people have rumbled you for being a joke. Wonder if he'll get put on his arse at least?
Gawd dam fellas are you seriously surprised by this? For the 25th time he aint fighting anyone serious unless it makes money sense to him and his crew. Stop acting so dam surprised about finding out he's fighting another no-name
us brits thought we had it bad with opponents. atsch mundine's career is just one home payday after another.
Stop talking utter rubbish. Mundine fights bums and occasionally fights journeymen. You talk as if Mundine is a 25 yr old prospect with 15 fights under his belt. If that was the case then this would be a good fight, but Mundine is 33 yrs old and has been in numerous "world title" fights. Don't you dare Mention Roy Jones. When Roy was Mundines age he was a 4 weight world champ and had beaten the likes of Hopkins, Toney and Ruiz at heavy. Roy was also considered p4p number 1 for 6or 7 yrs. This next opponent has fought his whole career basically at welter and jnr middle and was ko'd 2 yrs ago against an opponent who weighed 144 with a record of 10-5-1. I will go on record and state that Sturm will beat Mundine if they fight in the next 6-12 mths as Mundines opposition will hurt him in the long run. Why do people cough up their money to watch these fights? Are they general sports fans who don't really understand boxing and like to follow Mundines career? Surely they are not knowledgeable boxing fans because if they are then they should know better.
The clear lesson out of this is that boxers should avoid managers who aren't boxing men. I don't think it has been communicated clearly to Choc the impact that the Bum of the Month club is having on a legacy that was looking very solid after Green and Soliman II. A boxing man would know that if Sturm is the plan, then you are putting your fighter in treacherous waters by fighting guys ranked 40-100. And a boxing man would also know that when your hardcore fans are starting to break including a chunk of his own Aboriginal community, then its time to take drastic action and step up. Genuine top 10 opponents are the only currency accepted at this stage of his career. And Pintos is monopoly money from all angles.
