Those fights were all tune-ups to this fight. Welliver was just staying busy.

    The Anti-Campaign.......I Love It!

Welliver is not asking you to cosign his career. He is 27 years old though with 54 fights and 311 HW rounds.

He managed himself until recently. He has sparred more of the best HW's than most of HW top 10's ever will. He is THE BEST SPARRING PARTNER ON EARTH! The big camps pay him to prepare people for title shots all the time. He works with the champs. Holmes...McCall come to mind.

He has been toiling away with the best of both worlds. Racking up wins and racking up top notch rounds with top notch fighters and top trainers. There is not a capable manager in boxing today who could have done for Chauncy what he has done mostly for himself.

Knock his 2 comebcak wins over 2 debuters all you want. Chauncy was off for a year working with ameteur boxing kids in Spokane. Boxing is alive in Welliver Land where his brother Rick runs the gym, and his other brother Dumant is a hard core 154 journeyman who has taken on top flight competition. Those 2 debuters were part of fighting 5 times in 40 days to come back from the layoff. That culminated with a 12 round shut out over the draw you are listing up there. And a WBO interim strap that David Tua holds.

Since then he has also picked up a WBC Continetal Americas title and has bounced back and forth between New Zealand and the USA defending titles.

There are no other 27 year olds with over 50 fights and 300 rounds. There are no other guys fighting 5 times in 40 days. No other guys defending titles on both sides of the world. He's racking up the 12 round decisions and most of these HW's cannot even go 12 hard rounds these days.

I like the campaign though.....hate is really close to the emotion love. You are on the cusp of being huge Welliver Fans!

Put the blame where it really belongs for the HW challengers today....on Haye and Povetkin.
