Joshua was always getting KOed eventually. He's not a safety first fighter like Fury. I think his punch resistance has took quite a pasting. Not quite the same fighter, who was blowing guys out before the Wlad fight. Ruiz is solid, but he ain't keeping that belt for long.
The ref in that fight did everything to prevent a firefight from breaking out up close and in the AJ vs Ruiz fight we saw why. Parker had faster hands, good enough power and a far superior chin. Put simply in a firefight Parker would stop Joshua so they made sure it'd be an awful jab fest and tbh AJ wasn't even that convincing there. Joshua has looked unconvincing in so many fights, Klitschko fight he survived because Vitali got his corner tactics wrong and told Wlad not to go for the finish Takam he looked creatively bankrupt and the ref stopped it when he was tiring Whyte had him rocking and rolling with a dislocated arm Parker fight crooked ref Old Povetkin had him on queen street Against Ruiz his luck just ran out. And I don't see it coming back.
Tbf Ruiz is not imo a huge puncher However his speed on the inside and quality combos serve him very well and might give the impession he is
Was stretching it a little bit mate, however, you must agree that deterioration continues with age and he must have been a lot worse when he stepped in with Joshua. Wlad looked better because Joshua is not very good despite Eh Day's marketing and hype. Rice Pudding Ruiz Jnr confirmed beyond doubt in New York
Who admittedly hasnt got the best punch resistance Although it is over done by some on here and other forums
What's Tyson Fury got to do with this thread other than beating Wlad more convincingly than AJ did? Yeah AJs overrated resume looks better on paper than Fury's but so what? I'd still back Fury to win if they ever fought one another.
Bow to his feet if he wins a boxing match? Puzzling personal priorities. I'll just tune in and enjoy the fight regardless of the outcome instead I think!
