There's an element of dancing on the head of a pin when comparing the resumés of Joshua, Fury and Wilder.

None of them have a particularly strong resumé historically. If they didn't win another meaningful fight they would all be seen as either transitional champions or alphabet titlists.

In contemporary terms, none has any credible claim to be "the man" (even if Joshua beats Ruiz). The order of their ranking can be debated, but they are titlists and claimants at best.

We are where we were a year ago; they need to fight each other to bring some clarity to the matter, and it's unfinished business until they do. That applies equally to who is the best fighter today, as well as who is the best of this particular era.

What does what he is now, have to do with what he was then? He was domestic level.

I didn’t say he wasn’t miles better, but that wasn’t my point.

he did beat a better Wlad, stop trying to debate that because it’s stupid. And no idea what you’re on about, Tyson has never fought Ortiz and I didn’t use an ABC theory

Rewatch it. Chisora makes the call when he's asked.

I’ll be Anti Joshua if he wins a stinking decision like Katie Taylor.
Vastly losing interest in judges scoring, and I fear the worse if this goes the distance.

At the time of knockout, judges only had Ruiz 1 up? Absolute disgrace.

Same in the Froch Groves 1. At time of stoppage, Groves was 1 up in a fight where he won every round and had Froch on the canvas.

Eddies cards are appalling when they go the distance. It cannot and shouldn’t be ignored. That said I hope their is a conclusive winner in this fight.

The Parker cards were very wide, he was up against Wlad and I think Povetkin too at times of stoppages. Could be wrong on the last one. He always gets favourable cards.

Great win for Fury but Derek didn’t turn up on the night. From round one he seemed completely distracted and uninterested. Maybe due to Fury having his number, but that for me was typical unpredictable Chisora

I hope Joshua wins to prove the doubters wrong, I think he should be a massive underdog for this fight. Regardless of everything though I think he has the best resume in the division and he should be respected for some of the victories he has to his name. He’s never ducked a challenge and taken plenty of risks.

He deserved to be ahead on those cards.

I’m staggered by how many people seem to completely forget the way boxing fights are scored. For example, it would be perfectly conceivable to take each of the first four rounds in the Joshua Klitschko fight and give them to Joshua. Not by much, but on their own merit he could narrowly get them. Yet when you see the cards people scream robbery because four rounds up sounds like he’s dominating when in fact it feels close.

I made a point on another thread regarding this - in a negative manner. What you say about cards being wide because close rounds go to one fighter in theory makes sense, however, that is why we have three judges. So when its a "what you like round" there might be a judge who likes the come forward fighter, one who likes a counter puncher and one that likes accuracy and you might get it 2-1 in terms of judges scoring rounds.

Its when close, either way rounds are always getting scored to the home fighter creating 8-4, 9-3 cards in razor tight fights that issues are made.

Chisora plainly didn’t show up in their second fight. I’d not debate the fact that Fury is better than him, but that’s another point.

If we want to talk about not turning up, Fury did this in an absolutely literal sense for the Klitschko rematch.

It would be genuinely impressive if in the same vein as 'Sober October' or 'No Nut November' you didn't mention Fury on this forum for the whole month of December. What do you think?

Pass that to the people who keep creating threads about Fury then. I haven’t created one, ever. Today I’ve also commented on Warren’s new TV deal/announcement, the scoring of close 10-9 rounds, bad stoppages for Enzo Maccarinelli and the theoretical Callum Smith Carl Froch fight. The reason I probably talk about Fury a lot is the massive quantity of threads around him and his hilarious fanboy club.

I dip in and out of this forum but it's always you I notice. Are you up to the challenge of not mentioning Fury for a month in December?
