Antonin Décarie won the vacant WBO NABO championship with a unanimous decision victory over Brian "The Golden Greek" Camechis this afternoon at the Montreal Casino.

Décarie, now 19-0-0 with 5 knockouts, was in control early, winning the first 4 rounds and sending Camechis, now 17-1-0 with 8 knockouts to the canvas on an uppercut to the body. However, his opponent came back strong in the 5th, scoring a knockdown of his own on a counter left hook as he was getting pounded against the rope. Décarie survived the rest of the round and was very cautious in the 6th and 7th rounds. He got back in the fight scoring with multiple overhand rights as Camechis, from Glouster, Ohio was getting tired, throwing lazy jabs.

Camechis was aware that he was behind on the scorecards and gave his all in the twelfth and final round but couldn't finish Décarie who managed his way to a decision. Official scores 116-111, 117-110 and 115-112.
