Antonio Avelar analysis

Watch Hilario Zapata-German Torres.

He barely touches Zapata over the course of 15 one-sided rounds.

That was absolutely peak Zapata.

Conversely, Ursua was getting completely outboxed by Zapata, who then ill-advisedly got complacent and tried to take him out. Big mistake. Ursua destroys him with one punch.

I think Zapata would beat him 9 out of 10 times. That one was kind of flukish.

I think Cardona KO 1 Avelar was kind of flukish, as well. Cardona was not known as a big banger.

 

Wow, here's a blast from the past.

I'll just say that Avelar/Vasquez is one of my personal favorite bouts. Tremendous back and forth action, both men being knocked down, Avelar somehow absorbing dozens of flush power punches that would stop most opponents...

 

I've watched all eight of the fights mentioned above a while ago, and I've watched a couple of them again last night, but does anybody know of any other footage up of Avelar?

If anybody has/or knows of any other stuff of Antonio up, do tell me, though I assume this is just a case of there not being much saved. Likely similar to when I asked about Prudencio Cardona a couple months ago.
