If Kostya did prepare a plan to dodge that right overhand,I'll still doubt he would have an easy time, Cervantes was dangerous.
I’ll go one step further and say I think the sharpshooting Pambele not only finds Tszyu’s defensive deficiencies and zeroes in on what is basically a stationary target who uses his offense as his defense, he does so fairly early and it’s bombs away once he starts to connect with that right. Tszyu is basically a pot-shotter. He can’t outbox Pambele nor dissuade him. Cervantes in six or less. Styles make fights and in this case it makes an easy fight for the legend. Target practice.
I'd say that's a tough sell. In a world title career spanning a decade & 30ish fights vs. a variety of world class opponents, he was never beaten w/ that approach. Of the 3 fighters who did beat him during that time frame, 2 were defensive wizards & 1 was an all-out swarmer who got him near the end of his career. I'd say Tszyu's fights with Phillips, urkal, & even Leija lay out a better blueprint for how Cervantes could beat him than any of Cervantes' fight(s) provide for Tszyu.
Cervantes I believe was stopped 4 times in his career three were early in his career. I don't count the Pryor bout because Cervantes was well last his prime and had been boxing for 16 years. And Cervantes is more talented overall but you cannot dismiss KTs power and accuracy as not being a threat to Cervantes nor has anyone mentioned KTs body work at all which is underrated. r.
