If instead of Defending against Wilfred Benitez. Antonio Cervantes moved up & challenged WBA Welterweight King Pipino Cuevas. Who would have won? 15 rounds.

Cuevas, by knockout ... but he would have been behind before he caught up to Cervantes in the middle rounds.

Yes, Cervantes could conceivably be winning on points. Until Cuevas connects. Goodnight, El Pembele.

I could see Pambele getting up to win a decision.

Aaron Pryor stoppd Cervantes in 4 rds.....and Cuevas' left hook was twice as powerful as Pryor's.

After this proposed fight, they would be calling Cervantes "Kid Pinata".

Herman Montes knocked Cuevas out cold in 3 rounds.

That fight was 5 years after Cuevas run as a dangerous welterweight champion....which I thought was the point of the discussion.

Cuevas also got k.o.ed badly early in his career when he was about 14 years old.

    Cuevas KO 2 Cervantez

Tony never could win the big one

Cervantes's fight against Pryor was also 5 years after his run as a dangerous light welterweight champion. He may have gotten his title back but he was no longer the fighter he was.

He won bigger ones than Cuevas ever did.

I seen Tony. Tony couldnt keep PC off or avoid him for long so guess what happenz? the only thing that COULD happen: Pipino breaks him down and by breaking him down I mean breaking him to pieces

Pipino KO 2 defensless, toothless, powerless AC
