Cuevas, by knockout ... but he would have been behind before he caught up to Cervantes in the middle rounds.
Aaron Pryor stoppd Cervantes in 4 rds.....and Cuevas' left hook was twice as powerful as Pryor's. After this proposed fight, they would be calling Cervantes "Kid Pinata".
That fight was 5 years after Cuevas run as a dangerous welterweight champion....which I thought was the point of the discussion. Cuevas also got k.o.ed badly early in his career when he was about 14 years old.
Cervantes's fight against Pryor was also 5 years after his run as a dangerous light welterweight champion. He may have gotten his title back but he was no longer the fighter he was.
