This is gonna be an exciting fight, judging by the 1st round. It won't go 12. Rios is getting hit with some bombs.

Acosta tying up a lot on the inside. Hope Cortez tells him something.

    Round 2

Acosta hooks off the back foot and lobs a few more of those nice overhand rights behind his jab, landing but not affecting Rios. Acosta is pushed back as Rios lands his right and keeps cutting the ring off and blasting his way in. Nice 1-2 by Rios as Acosta pulls out at an angle. Acosta swipes with a left hook and then grabs when Rios pushes up against him. Acosta lands a few hooks combined with overhand rights as he backs up. Acosta is pushed into a corner and lands a nice uppercut. Rios comes forward blocking with his forearms and digging to the body but eats anothre uppercut. Acosta is pushed to the ropes but can't get off before Rios grabs his arms and pushes them down, putting them at a stalemate.

    20-18 Acosta

Rios walking straight in without a jab is making me nervous. Still early though.

    Round 2

Acosta continuing to frustrate Rios by landing uppercuts and left hands. Every time Rios tries to pressure Acosta, they tie up and Cortez comes in.

    20-18 Acosta

Rios doesn't have much of an answer for that roundhouse right hand shot. Needs to start to wind up the pace a bit and unsettle Acosta.

Me too. This athlete is good for the sport. If he stays in America, and fights domestic-level opponents, he should continue his winning streak.

My boy is fighting really well already. I think he may KO Rios.

Rios has no defense whatsoever. He's a disciple of the Margarito school of boxing. Take punches and walk your opponent down. Gotta cut the ring better though.

Looks like Rios has been kicking it with Margo too much, trying to walk forward without throwing a jab and eating punches left and right. I thought he was more fundametaly sound, guess not.

    Round 3

Acosta jabs and hooks backing up. NICE uppercut out of a crouch by Acosta. Very quick movement by Acosta, with both hands and feet. Rios throws low powerful jabs and tries to stake Acosta to the corner. Rios walks right into him and gets grabbed while trying to load up big power punches. Acosta keeps grabbing him around the arms and waist as Rios tries to land. Good hook to the body by Rios. Acosta gets moving. Rios throws a 1-2 and Acosta bends his body back diagonally and causes Rios to land awkwardly against his side, then grabs. Rios keeps coming forward and blocks some flurries. Acosta is backed to the ropes and skirts off. Rios follows and misses jabs. Rios leans against Acosta in the corner and tries to dig to the body. Acosta with a big uppercut and then a HUGE combo that snaps Rios' head back and knocks him a few steps back out of the corner! Rios just grins!

    30-27 Acosta
