Props to IB for handling this for me with me being MIA.

I was certain I'd be able to do a RBR on it and then a friend of mine wound up getting into a fight. I got ya next time IB.

It was a hell of a fight. My thoughts on the whole event.

ESPN put on the wrong undercards on TV. The first two fights before it was on TV were good, a little sloppy, but still entertaining nonetheless. Cesar Valenzuela may'be somebody to look at. He looked sloppy as I mentioned, but he put on a good show and the crowd was electric.

The first fight that was on TV, i don't have to explain that was horrible Casper the Friendly Ghost never threw a punch and just held on the whole time, and Velasquez wasn't all that impressive either, but that might be because of his opponent.

The 2nd fight was decent. In that fight the PR fans got their asses' kicked in the cheap seats. Tons of beer flying around great energy and the fight in the ring wasn't too bad.

The Main Event was great Tony got himself tons of new fans, me included. There was great energy great buzz just a fantastic fight. Tony looked very good great head movement great body work just a great night for Tony and I can't wait for his next fight. Lock showed heart in there I thought he would get stopped, but he was able to stay in there. He deserves some props as well. For the people that wondered why Lock was booed is because on a radio show earlier in the day he talked a lot of **** about Tony and the fans here in El Paso not to mentioned he threw the Texas flag on the ground as well. So that is why he got booed.

After the Main Event there were two fights. The first fight was very good. Abraham Han is somebody to look at for. He has a lot of pop in his right hand. He threw a one-two combo in the first that KD Soto. Later on in the 2nd round Han threw the 1-2 again and Soto was knocked out cold. He was on the canvas for about 10 minutes. He got KTFO! The 2nd fight wasn't really note worthy Morales basically boxed pretty good and got the UD.

I am so glad to see a good fight on ESPN, getting tired of PPV.

What untelevised fight was better than Velazquez-Beranza? I know Velazquez-Nazario sucked horse ****, but you said "ESPN put on the wrong undercards on TV." - undercards, plural. Was there really a dark match that was better than that upset? :blood

 Hey sorry about that, almost a two year reply, but nah you're right I shouldn't have said undercards, I should have just said they needed to replace the first fight of Velazquez-Nazario for the Han-Soto fight. Han at the time got his 5th win and that could have really boosted his career, looking back, if he was on TV that night. As it is now his career is slowly but surely getting more exposure.

:rofl :rofl I apologize for that as well. I was sort of feeling nostalgic and decided to dig up some old posts, and came across this thread remembering that I did make a post....and then I saw that you replied to what I said so I thought, well it would be a bit rude of me not to reply.

Whoa, historic thread. :think The unofficial torch passing ceremony. This was my first true RBR thread. Before this, Arriba was the man. Well...Arriba & RightCross were "the men".

    It's all good. :yep

Yeah, same here with the nostalgia. Antonio Escalante and Cornelius Lock are probably both guys who will have had pretty short careers in the grand scheme of things but man...they packed more thrills into them than most careers that go twice as long. :good
