Bob Dylan writes a song about this.

I think Ramos was better and would win, personally.

The song would be called 'who killed Antonio Esparragoza?`

    Classy..

And for the record, Sugar Ramos didn't necessarily kill Davey Moore - in other words, he didn't die from the punches. The bottom rope killed him by damaging his brain stem.

I would pick and expect Ramos to win. I feel bad that I don’t remember the last time Esparragoza has been the favorite in a hypothetical around here? But he is a live dog who should help make this a fun fight! But unlike the Lopez hypothetical I think this one goes the distance.

Sugar Ramos was an awesome, aggressive technician. Spiteful puncher. I'd pick him here.

Awesome fight, I thought Esparragoza was hittable (in the Cruz and Villasana fights), that's not what you want to be vs Ramos.

Yeah, he wouldn't know what moving at angles were if he threw a protractor at him. He was pretty fast and light on his toes, but the problem was textbook. He didn't move off at angles, he just moved straight back and so could still be hit. Ramos definitely gets there at some point, and I reckon that's when he'd win.
