Antonio Margarito dishonored and should be banned from boxing

Everybody is entitled to a second chance. If confirmed steroid cheats like Holy, Toney, and Mosely are still fighting, why not give Tony another chance? Tito also cheated with wraps and he doesn't get nearly as much hate as Tony.

Why do you think the fight was moved Los Angeles after the NSAC informed Shane Mosely that he was going to be tested for epo since there was documented evidence that he had cheated in their state before. Then all of the sudden the fight that was suppposed to take place in Vegas gets moved to Los Angeles.

come on we all know mosely cheated in that fight as it was evident in his mayorga fight and mayweather fight when he was not on anything.

Let's be honest: most people including myself believe that steroid use is rampant in boxing (and the majority of sports) and fighters use it to gain a foothold on their competitors whom, they believe, are using steroids themselves, or are simply more gifted genetically. So, the use of steroids, for them, is the great equalizer. While consuming steroids is still cheating since its against the rules, its simply not as direct, blatent and devestating as loading up your gloves. This is why so few boxers attempt this circumvention of the rules and why Margo has been justly villified. Its the directness, the outrageousness and the rarity of this form of cheating that has earned him our collective condemnation.


People who are desperatly equating one to the other, are comparing apples to oranges.

 

Jones didn't do anything illegal he took an over the counter suppliment that was banned by the IBF but you or I could have purchased what he took at a GNC .

Toney took a prescribed medication used to reduce inflammation for a bicep/triceps surgery. Nothing illegal about that ..(Side note James Toney had to beone of the fattest men on steroids ).


There is a difference of medications used for recovery purposes and those intended to enhance your performance. You didn't need to be a rocket scientist to see that Toney was not the poster boy for steroid use.




Trinidad -He may have had extra guaze on his hands but there was nothing Illegal about that !! His hands were re wrapped with more guaze just less layers .He was never fined or suspended because of that !
