hope he's not as good as people think.

 

Low blow Cotto twice within the first half of the opening round, then go all out like a madman, swarming him nonstop (throwing 200+ punches in two minutes) trying to overwhelm him. I'm being 100% serious, this is the best gameplan he could possibly use that doesn't involve outside-the-ring tricks like poisoning his food. He would never use it though, because he would most likely blow himself out early and get knocked out, but it's the best chance he has at getting a win.

 

All he has to do is pressure Cotto from the outside. Make Cotto have to lunge in to get anything done. Distance beats speed.

If he steps inside he gives the smaller man room to work. He doesn't want to fall in. And I suspect he won't.

 

Who are you, Teddy Atlas? Margarito can't suddenly become an excellent boxer after being a sloppy volume puncher for his entire life.

I've watched about 15 Margarito fights, way more than enough to understand who he is and what he's capable of. I'll keep believing, I just hope you don't keep nuthugging after Cotto destroys him.
