As far as resumes go Margo has been fighting welters for over 10 years and yes alot of mofo's ducked Tony(see DLH,SSM and Floyd) so he has the best resume.(he beat Clottey,Cotto,Cinton 2x)

2nd best resume goes to Cotto for beating 3 top 10 welters (Quintana,Judah and SSM) and had the BALLS to face the ever dangerous Tony in a losing effort.

3rd spot is Williams who beat Margo a year ago,got waxed by Quintana 1st time then came back and redeemed himself by k.o.ing him in 1.But outside of that HE HASNT FAUGHT ANY OTHER TOP WELTERWEIGHT.Just because he beat Margo(who wasnt considered the top dog then) a year ago and Margo just beat Cotto(who concidered the top welter) does not automatically make him the #1 welter.Thats fkg bogus

Berto hasnt faught any top 10welters yet

and Clottey may have something to say about all this welterweight hoopla.

By next year ,when the dust settles we shall have a TRUE WELTER KING!

If Williams barely beat Margarito then Quintana barely beat Williams cause both of those fights were clearly close fights unless you didn't watch both of those fights. The one thing i agree with you is there is no ww king until Margarito vs Williams rematch happens. ( If Margarito and Williams wins in their next fights before facing each other)

After some reading, I agree, Margarito is underrated, at least here he is. But, Margarito, whether underrated or overrated, right now is one of the toughest dudes on the planet, and I think one of the most feared guys. What he did to Cintron and Cotto, man, I dont see anyone beating him right now, including Williams.
