This is a hell of a match, I've seen it twice, but never scored it officially on here, and my scores were different both times. And you all should probably watch it if you haven't already. So here goes.

I remember watching this fight when I was a huge Margarito fan, two of the most feared fighter's at that time going at it.

    Round 1 Williams 10-9

Williams constantly moving to the right and tagging Tony with combinations throughout, keeping him out of range the whole round, Margarito whipped in some wild hooks to the body, a few got through, including a clean hook to the head, but P-Will with his constant one twos to the face, some thudding, took it rather easily.

    Round 1 Williams 10-9
    Round 2 Williams 10-9

Williams comes right out sinks a jab to the stomach, picking up where he left off, Tony being peppered with non stop jabs to the face and looping lefts to the cranium, Margarito trying to press forward and is paying for it every time he tries to close range, Margarito is getting to his body a little, Tony lands a hard right to the head, foring Paul to hold. Tony getting to the body, Paul lands a bomb upstairs, Margarito unfazed, walks through, keep coming. Pce slows, Williams bopping Tony in the face with shots that sound like a watermelon getting snapped by a wet towel.

    Round 2 Williams 10-9
    Round 3 Williams 10-9

Tony getting in range, but not throwing, just shells up, Williams unloading with non stop volume, Tony looking extra lethargic, then out of nowhere Tony lands a massive right hook up top. They go to war momentarily, pace slows, they hold, Margarito getting some work done to the body in close. Paul lands a beauty of an uppercut brought from down deep, follows up with huge sweeping left over the top.

    Round 2 Williams 10-9
    Round 3 Williams 10-9
    Round 4 Williams 10-9

Williams back to the jab, popping Tony repeatedly, constantly circling to the right, jabfest through the first minute. Paul unleashing one twos and combinations in the first minute, Margarito looking lost, whenever he does close the gap, Williams holds. Williams landing on him from every angle he chooses. Margarito closes well, landing a hard right, and some wild combos, many not fully landing clean.

    Round 2 Williams 10-9
    Round 3 Williams 10-9
    Round 4 Williams 10-9
    Round 5 Williams 10-9

Margarito pressing forward with his high guard up, unwilling to let his hands gok, because he knows a two or three punch combos awaits him, Williams not jabbing as much this round, but instead choosing to focus on the looping lefts to the head and body. Williams giving Tony a ton of lateral movement in both directions. TOny not getting through much, but when he doesn't, it's thudding. Their feet get tangled, Margarito goes down, it's properly ruled a slip. Closest round thus far.

Gatti retired after being stopped by Gomez on the undercard, and they just showed clips of new up and coming Mexican Heavyweight Chris Arreola.

    Round 3 Williams 10-9
    Round 4 Williams 10-9
    Round 5 Williams 10-9
    Round 6 Williams 10-9

Tony giving him a lot of herky jerky upper body movement, both none of it effective P-Will still hitting him at will, Tony lands hard right upstairs, partially blocked, then goes to the body, lands a sicking body shot, Williams unaffected, fires back with an equally sickening combo to the skull of The Tijuana Tornado. Tony is now willing to walk through hellfire and brimstone to get some work done, but Williams is still keeping him at range and outworking him. Paul working him with a short right hook with more regularity, Margarito's pressure is wearing him down, but it hasn't caused him to unravel yet, Williams still in control, but barely.

A win for Margarito is out of reach at this point. Best possible outcome would be a ddraw. Although Larry Merchant gave Tony the 5th.

Tony far more pressure, Williams still tagging him, but the pop has left his punches, Tony getting through with far more this round, landing anywhere he can land, sometimes while holding and punching. Several hooks to the head from both hands, and not forgetting the body. TOny's right hand is finding its mark, WIlliams is becoming an increasingly stationary target, Tony finding him an easier target to hit, and he's going all out. Williams holding more, Tony smashing him with body shots in close when he does. Volume from Williams, but Margarito with the far cleaner heavier shots.

Ref gives Williams a hard warning in the corner for the holding.

    Round 8 Margarito 10-9

Williams picks up the volume, although his shots have less and less on them, whereas Tony's are finding their mark, and moving Williams, Margarito is starting to punish The Punisher. Margarito landing from unique angles, and managing to deflect much of WIlliams return fire. More and more jabs from WIlliams, Margarito got through with countless savage right hooks to the head and a few left hooks to the body to take it. It was close, but quality overcame quantity.
