Margarito was severely weight drained in the Mosely fight. That's not something that was made up after the fact, Spanish scribes reported on it days before that Margarito wasn't looking good in training or in the days leading to the fight.

Then after his suspension, Pacquiao was allowed by the commission to load his handwraps causing Margarito's eye fracture.
There went Margarito's career down the drain. He was a fighter that had to take punishment to give it and after Pacquiao, his eye just couldn't hold up to punishment.
