the only likeness he has in common with hagler is his inability to get the lucrative fights, otherwise margo could'nt carry hagler's jockstrap.

So, is everyone else, BUT MARGARITO, allowed to look for a big payday or something?

You do realize though, and this kinds kills your argument, that Margarito was willing to take the small purses to MAKE bigger fights?

BTW, Arum wasn't comparing him to Hagler in a sense of talent or accomplishment. Yet that seems to be what everyone comments on. I'm not the only one who can understand CONTEXT am I? :huh

Arum is such a tool. He lied about how much Gomez-Margarito did. Arum is trying so hard to hype Margo. He said Margo-Gomez did 75k PPV buys.

    LOL!

If Arum told me the sky was blue, I'd look up just to make sure.

Margarito is just a big goofy weight draining welter. His size and toughness is his only advantages over other top welters.

How many buys did it do then, since you always know everything?:huh

Wait a min...did you say Arum is trying to HYPE Margarito? Hyping the guy he promotes?!?! Flpyd running from several offers did more to hype Margarito than anything Arum has said.

He doesn't drain to make weight. You are saying that with the HOPES he does. Or you're just making a guess, right toopretty?

Lol. You truly think Gomez-Margo did 75k buys? :patsch:patsch:patsch

Margo was offered a fight and ran from Floyd and opted to fight Gomez.

Margo had his chance and opted not to take it.

Nom I asked you how many buys it did. YOU SAID THEY LIED, so you obviously know how many. Tell me how many buys it did. :deal

He was not offerd a fight w/ Mayweather, because it was ARUM doing the offereing. Floyd FINALLY said yes to Margarito, a mere two weeks before his own fight. That was a bull**** offer, that Floyd fans like you cling to, becuase that's all you have.

Flkoyd was offered career high paydays on three occasion, and declined all, even when he had no fights of his own schedules. He declined them while WAITING for someone esle...

    It did between 20-30k.

MARGO WAS OFFERED a fight with Floyd while he was training for Gomez and opted to go through the Gomez fight which he only made 400,000 instead of fighting Mayweather where he would of made 2mil+.

Floyd was offfered career high paydays with ties to his next fights.

I've gotta agree with Lance here. I think people are taking Arum a little out of context. People hear him say "Hagler and Margo" in the same sentence and are quick to freak out. He's right in the sense that Margo just can't get the big fights; much like Hagler couldn't for a long time. High risk and low reward for fighting the guy

of course not!!! I mean that Margos only real advantage at welter is his size and thats it.

    :patsch

And what are you even basing that on? Just a ****in guess? What reason would Arum have to lie BTW?

And we already went through the 'ties'.... YOu were basing all that on an OLDER offer, not knowing about the 8 mill with NO OPTIONS. of coure, you'll play dumb now.

Size, toughness, aggression, durability and output. :deal

Size is not his only advantage. It's funny how some people (not pointing out you BTW) act as if Margarito is a GIANT WW. Sure, compared to Floyd maybe. But stand him next to Cotto, Williams, Cintron.... He's taller, but not that much bigger. Dude stays in excellent shape year round.

If he is not that much taller than Cotto then Miguel will surely beat his ass bad. How tall is Margarito I thought 5'11" yes he is tough aggressive durable but so are any # of top welters the 1 thing that seperates Margarito him is the size.
