Because his fans are delusional and they continue to hype him like he's an elite fighter or something. He'll never be or beat an elite fighter hell he couldn't even get past a green Williams.

Comparing him to Hagler is a stretch, but he has been avoided by some of the top names for a long time. . . thats pretty clear.

Any true boxing fans want to see him and any other worthy fighter simply get thier shot at the top.

cotto was at welter but back then margo was ranked no.1 welter by the ring and cotto had just entered the rankings.

 

arum once called hagler the best middleweight in history.I guess he now believes margo is the best welterweight in history.
