Antonio Margarito Unwrapped

I wish there was definitive proof either way. I'd hate to think that he was totally innocent and had his career completely derailed due to false accusations and a mishandling of evidence.

From what I understand, no one really got the alleged pad that "fell out" of the wraps. It was not provided at the testimony/hearing.

According to the commission it was tested and found to contain weird substances, but they never said it was straight-up plaster.

I know trainers personally that say Brother Nassim is a stand up guy, so I doubt he just tried to frame Tony, but maybe he saw something questionable and said something, and it blew out of proportion. Or maybe it really was plaster.

Even then, that doesn't necessarily mean he used it before, and the original post does make a good point. No one with loaded gloves needs to throw 1000+ punched per fight.

In this past weekend's match against Paez Jr. Paez looked pretty busted up too. He took a shellacking from a much lower output version of Margarito, and still looked pretty beat up.
