Antonio Margarito vs. a prime Fernando Vargas at 154

I chose draw, but leaning toward Vargas a little bit.

 

Vargas is bigger and just outworks Margo. Margo loses a decision.

 

I don't know, Margarito is pretty hard to outwork.

those two facts could make a difference

 

Margo will be walking into shots all night. Vargas was a very good fighter at his best and fought some pretty good pressure fighters. I think Vargas will force Margo to respect his power. I think Margo's chin will hold up but I just see Vargas landing more punches and landing more cleanly throughout the fight.

 

He already specified a prime Vargas. So, assume the best version.

At 154 pounds Vargas all day.

 

Vargas had sick skills at his peak. The only man to decisively beat Ike Quartey would have little problems in outboxing and possibly getting a TKO against Margo.
