Are people suddenly under the impression that Margarito has the best chin in the history of boxing or something? I am mind-boggled at how many people think a matchup that is so far in Tito's favor style-wise would go the distance. Margo would be there to be hit, and would be hit, a lot. And someone that relies on getting hit a lot to impose his style on Tito is not very likely to accomplish his goal. What are you people thinking?

...I'd like to see poll results of a Margarito/Duran matchup, just for the hell of it.

Margarito has been dropped three times altogether. Danny Perez, Miguel Gonzalez and finally Juan Cervantes. Cervantes dropped him with a body shot, what would Tito do with his power and body punching.

Obviously Tito would be favored but he would have to earn it - AM wouldnt run from him for three rounds like DLH did.

****. I can just see the poll results AND responses right now.

'Remember, Duran was only 5'7" and was a natural lightweight. I just don't see how he can hold off Margarito for twelve rounds because there's no way he KO's him. And lets not forget Margarito's uppercut! Duran is going to have to eat it sometime and it won't be pretty. I say Margarito wears him down and stops the smaller Duran in 10. "

Too bad, as that would probably be his best strategy.

His best strategy would be to get on the inside and smother Titos punches. Tito was a good in fighter but he was most effective when he was at a midrange distance, Margarito is a devastating in-fighter.

Plus, Margarito aint no runner. He prefers to fight like a man.

Maragrito can NOT take a prime 147 pound Felix Trinidad's best punches for 12 round he just can't. Tito will get him somewhere between the 6th and 11th.

Maragrito has a great chin but he can be hurt Daniel Santos proved that and Tito was deadly at 147.

This is so ****ing stupid, a realistic poll would be 'how many rounds would Margarito last against Trinidad at 147?'.

Then have the options being rounds 1-5, then we could ask 'what are you thinking' to the people who select more than 3.

Like I said, a TKO 1 is not out of the question, margarito starts slow and has nothing of a titanium chin needed to last more than a couple of rounds to supplement his lack of speed, marginal defence and skill set.

I'd personally pick Trinidad TKO 2. Do you guys not realise the difference in level of fighter here?

Or is Kermit Cintron suddenly some god puncher? He took 10 rounds to dispose of Feliciano, a guy Tito would have removed in 1.
