Antonio Margarito vs. Junior Witter

Witter is not an elite fighter but against a guy like Marge who is slow and crude Witter can look good and win. Marge has good strength, power and durability but he is not right to win Witter. The fight would be good.

I think Hatton would get destroyed by Marge due to him just being a smaller version.

Judah beat a GREEN Witter, Santos whooped a Prime Margarito, so did Williams. When Marg was green he was getting beat by Larry Dixon, Rodney Jones and Lozerva whoever those bums are

Margs got no defense, telegraphs his shots and would get countered and KO'd against Witter. Who for your ******ed info has been ducked by Hatton and was Mayweathers mandatory (who Mayweather fought an ancient Mitchell instead)

Close one. I have doubts about Witter against a high pressure fighter (hence why I have never jumped on the Hatton is scared of Witter bandwagon).

On the other hand, Witter is very evasive and does have the skills to outbox Margo comprehensively (which isn't all that hard really). I'm not sure Margo can actually hit Witter enough times to trouble him. OTOH he will get counterpunched all night and hit a lot and his own defense is pretty bad.

Close one, but I'd take Witter on points.

Witter floored Ndou early twice each time with 1 shot. witter would have ko'd ndou if he didnt break his hand. Cotto couldnt floor Ndou all night and got his ribs broke.

 

You can't use one fight as an example as to who has more power.

Danny Williams KO'd Tyson quicker than Lewis, does that make Williams the harder puncher?

I don't what's funnier, Witter being a harder puncher than Cotto or Witter beating Margarito.


When has Witter ever fought at a frenetic pace for 12 rounds and 36 minutes? The answer is never, he'd get overwhelmed by Margo.

 

Ok boys hold on a minute here let me explain something to you...pressure fighter beats boxer......and way bigger pressure fighter, beats way smaller boxer. Antonio Margarito has 4 inches in hight and three inches in reach and he's an effective pressure fighter. Add to that he took Cintron's bombs with ease and I really don't see how in the hell Witter wins this fight.

Oh and another thing...one of you guys whose picking witter said that Margo got his ass whooped by Santos clearly you don't know **** about that fight so if thats the basis for your pick...well done:good

Yea, a 6ft 1 welterweight who throws over 1000 punches a fight is definitely comparable with Witter who has barely thrown 1000 punches in his career. Dumbass.

Witter likes to take breaks, he fights at his own pace and when you're fighting C class, you can fight at your own pace.........when he has a 5ft 11, welterweight monster with a granite chin crawling all over him he'll get overwhelmed and KO'd.

That was my rationale for why I found it a close fight to call, but Margo has to be able to apply his pressure for it to be any use. On balance, Margarito will find it hard to hit Witter. His punches are predictable and Witter is very evasive. Witter would counterpunch Margo at will.

 

Witter is an excellent fighter with a large array of tactical and physical weapons. I would be remiss not to pick a fighter of such quality.

 

As I said, Witter has mixed in C class. You can be 'evasive' and fight at a steady pace at this level.

But when you've got Margarito marching you down relentlessly and every punch you throw he laughs at, it's a whole different ball game. Witter would get pinned down, broken with body shots and then KO'd as he gasses at the end. KO8 I'd say.
