Antonio Margarito vs Miguel Cotto

WHAT????? How does this logic work? If a very good fighter (with the potential to have been great) gives you problems, an average fighter (and lesser puncher) will murder you?? :huh

 

Probably the only way that Cotto can lure Mayweather into the ring is to knockout Margarito. I'm not so sure that Maragrito might not knockout Cotto. He is a tough customer and he comes to fight. Men with less firepower than Margarito have turned Cotto's legs into spagetti.

 

How can you be sure of that ? At 140 Cotto could barley take a punch from Demarcus Corely at 147 he takes a much better punch ..And lets not compare the likes of Santos to Cotto now ..

 

Even if Tony can take everything Miguel throws at him, he still loses a lopsided decision.

 

I re-watched the Cotto-Judah fight last nite and I think my
friends will agree that Cotto was hurt 3 times by Judah.

Judah just didn't land the second & third punches that would have
knocked him down. But fighting a southpaw is tough, and they
will hit you dead on sometime in the fight due to the angle of their
punches .

Cotto seems to have improved 15 % more since his last fight.
His confidence is high, and he has all of Puerto Rico behind him.
And, he has better overall skills than Margo.

But, Margo is a very solid, rough & tough Welter who will be given
this one time to shine if he gets this fight.

It could come down to who has the best chin and who backs the
other up....but we know they both will probably cut, both could
go down, and neither will easily quit.

Sounds like a potential great fight between 2 Latin American warriors.

He's punching straighter and looks faster than I've ever seen him before.

And what is Cotto vulnerable to?

UPPERCUTS, especially the left.

And you cannot HONESTLY tell me that Margarito has a **** uppercut. Margarito's left uppercut may be the best in the game by an orthadox fighter.

And talk **** and laugh if you want, but if I were Arum, I would keep Cotto away from Margarito.

I would put him in with Floyd before I mess with Margarito.

People are underrating Margarito after the Williams' fight.

i always felt More comfortable putting cotto with Margo then Mosley. so you can Guss who i would pick in this fight.!!

Yeah, and everytime Cotto gets in position to throw that left hook, he'll be open for an uppercut, so I could just as easily say that Margarito will brutalize Cotto's shaky chin and win by TKO or KO at any time.
