Margarito will become the first man to stop Sugar Shane around rounds 8-11. Mosley will have his moments in a thrilling fight, but Margo will break him down and force the referee to intervene late on. Although this sounds similar to Margo-Cotto, I don't see the fight unfolding in a similar way. I think Mosley will try and unsettle Margarito by trying to brawl with him and choosing not to box and move like Cotto tried to. This will result in a thriller, but Mosley will weaken as the fight goes on and will lose.
Im split between Marg on points & Marg by TKO. Mosely has never been KOd so I lean towards a points win for Margarito. SSM is done, AM will have to have a pretty bad night to lose this one IMO.
Mosley will give Margo some trouble in the pocket. I just don't think he has the stamina or the resilience anymore to make it the distance against a guy of Margo's intensity.
Perhaps not - if his timing is up to scratch I see him taking Margarito the distance and losing. If he repeats the Mayorga performance, he gets stopped. I wouldn't completely rule out a Mosley win, but the smart money is on Margarito.
Shane will unsettle Margarito. This fight will be tiresome for Margarito. Coming forward, holding, hitting while holding and pushing is all Shane. He comes in with a few punches and crowds his man. Margarito may not have the inside game to battle in such a grueling affair. If Margarito does not get off enough, the judges may subside with Shane. Another thing, Shane is a man without fear. Read his bio, this man is a walking legend. Truly willing to fight anyone. Thus, his lack of fear can be unnerving. Think of this, Cotto broke down eventually right? but was it because of the punches he was taking or the beast on the other end EATING all Cotto's power shots? No one can hit Shane clean enough to knock him out. Not that Shane has awesome defense, he just does a great job of being busy. Like they say "the best defense is offense". I am going with Shane on busyness and a lack of fear.
I just hope the fight ain't stopped on cut's, Or it don't play a major part... (Shane's style + Margarito's style is calling for a clash of head's) I'd love to see a Cotto Vs. Margarito type of fight, & we might get it... But more than likley we will get a chess match for the first 4-5 rd.s the eventual winner will be clear by then, IMO. I defo sense a late stoppage in favor of Margarito, not a K.O. but a corner stoppage. A possible 12 rd decision would also favor the more active Margarito, unless Mosley is possesed that night and becomes 25 yrs old all over again.
I voted Margo points, but there's an outside chance of a late stoppage as well. I don't think Margo can put Shane down for the ten count, but he may just get a corner stoppage after being too busy for SSM. I think Margo is a beatable champ and think his current status as a consensus P4P fighter flatters him. He has his flaws as a fighter and I think that someone will take advantage of those sooner rather than later, but I don't think this version of Mosley has enough left in the tank either to counter Margo or to trade in the pocket with him.
