I see a late TKO in Margo's favor. Really there's a lot going against Shane. He looked simply awful at times against Mayorga. The thing that always sticks out in my mind is at some point in the middle rounds, Shane opened up on Mayorga and started hitting him with the left, (which I'd been begging him to do since he was overusing the right) he cleaned Mayorga's clock... then had to rest for two rounds to recover. That is just not going to fly, and Margarito is going to be much busier and less relenting than Mayorga. Styles wise, Shane has always been a fast brawler rather than a boxer, and has a flicker jab that won't do anything to keep someone off of him. Shane is better defensively than Cotto, who seems to disregard defense, and wily enough to tie Margarito up on occasion, which is a point in his favor, but it's not his primary style. Shane's speed and precision will be a help, but he's going to need either a lot of activity or movement to make it count for anything. I've been watching Mosley since he was a lightweight, and I like him, but with him having shown signs of losing stamina in recent bouts, I don't think he can keep up with Margo's activity level and is going to be overwhelmed. Just to top things off, consider that for the last 6 years Mosley has been splitting his time between 147 and 154 and has fought 8 fights at 154 to 4 at 147, and will now, at age 37, be coming back down in weight to 147. This bout just has trouble written all over it in big bold letters for Sugar Shane.
Margarito on TKO. Mosleys always been willing to trade. Don't see him making it out of this one now he's on the slide.
