You dont admit to anything. Margarito does throw punches from awkward angles. He doesn't even have to be planted the proper way with his feet to throw punches. I've seen him throw straight rights, hooks, and uppercuts from the wrong stance, the southpaw stance having just been thrown off balance.
Just what you heard, Margarito can over commit and be thrown off balance, and it wont stop him from throwing a shot off the wrong foot.
If that's not awkward I dont know what is.

Just nuances like that that Margarito adds to his game for lacking in pure boxing skill. The kinds of nuances that drive the proper boxer crazy not knowing what types of punches to anticipate.

........but no, for you, even though Mayweather has never faces a fighter with Margarito's style characteristics, you just take it as a given that "Floyd will adjust to anything."

I personally dont give that to Floyd as over the years, I've seen him shy away from certain types and styles of fighters, and one must assume he's doing that for a reason.
    Dont want none of that!!!

    Cool.

So answer the question! Margarito can't do !$#%, but the guy who got absolutely OWNED by Alexander, who sucks massive donkey dong and is pushing gatekeeper status, pushed Floyd's stool in. How did the Son of Devon beat/draw w/ Floyd?

    :rofl

That doesn't answer my question at all.. Not even a little..

You're either saying Floyd wouldn't run and forget how to dodge punches, or Margarito will be fast enough to chase Floyd and Floyd will get tired.. Both sounds stupid to think...

    Before Martinez-Williams 2:

    "I want the winner."

"We can fight at a catchweight [referring to Martinez]."

    AFTER Martinez-Williams 2:

"Sergio Martinez should fight Andre Dirrell."

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Glad you pointed that out. The shoulder roll is less effective against a taller fighter, and with Mayweather, he rolls with that shoulder and also pulls straight back to avoid a shot. A taller fighter with equal or larger reach is going to find Mayweather pulling back like that.
DLH found him with the jab and so did Zab Judah.

DLH and Zab had accurate jabs.

What is Margarito particularly accurate with (against defensive boxers) at range? :huh

    Both lost..

Anyway, Floyd has more than just the shoulder roll.. You think he won't notice it's not working/going to work? You think he wouldn't know how tall he was? You guys are making Floyd stupid just to have a point...

Dude, Maidana was supposed to have nothing more than a puncher's chance. Floyd fans were predicting that Maidana would be KO'd by a body shot by the 6th (based on Khan leveling him in the first w/ body shots). What did Maidana do? He pushed Floyd to the limit and arguably won.

    Levels, right?

NO ONE considered Maidana elite. Dangerous, yes. Elite, no. Pound 4 Pound Menace? Not so much.

I'm glad you brought up Baldomir.
Baldomir is nearly as slow as Margarito, only he's fights in a skilled and conventional style.
An A level champion takes apart a conventional style like Baldomir's.
Its when the opponent is unconventional that it gets tricky for these greats.

Baldomir is was a fighter that did a lot of things good.
His skills were good to very good across the board, only he was slow of both hand and feet and none of his skills were great to compensate.

Did Baldomir throw 100 punches a round? No.

Did he have the mindset of Margarito of walking through punches to get his off? No!

Did he have the size and lenghth of Margarito? No!

Did he pressure a fighter nonstop for 12 rounds? No!

Baldomir and Margarito are totally completely different fighters.
Most fighters would have a much tougher time against Margarito, especially in the late rounds of a fight where Margarito would still be coming at you with the same speed and intensity he started from round 1.
Trying to slow down Margarito's pace and workrate is a problem for most.

Would Margarito through 100 punches a round against Floyd? No

What mindset did he have then? He was a basic, straight-ahead fighter who had to take a punch to give a punch. He never out-boxed anyone in his life.

Margarito could come hard for 12 rounds but Floyd never slowed down in the later rounds and he could keep moving for 36 minutes. Both guys would fight the 12th round in the same style they fought the 1st - which means Marg would still be chasing shadows.

Margarito jab isn't sharp, but he does throw it out there both with intent and as a range finder.
I can see Margarito digging hard to the body with either hand as Floyd anticipates he's about to try to reach him as he pulls straight back.
Once Margarito touches the body, a follow up shot to the head would be coming and having just landed to the body, Margarito would be at distance to reach the head.

Listen, Margarito gets sloppy in there with how he throws his shots, but he's effective in his sloppiness.
Most fighters want to land crisp and effective, Margarito just wants to land and it doesn't matter to him if its on point and accurate as long as its landing anywhere on the fighter.
As the rounds accumulate, the opposition is finding it harder and harder to keep Margarito at distance and at bay as Margarito just isn't ****ing slowing down.

Mayweather is accustomed to setting the pace, he's not going to do that vs Margarito.
Would have been very interesting to me if Mayweather could keep up with that high pace Margarito would set.

I truly wanted to see Mayweather in against a fighter of Margarito's characteristics. Also wanted to see how Mayweather's would manage his pure boxing skills against a fighter quicker and faster than he.

Mayweather didn't give us either of those fights.
Did'nt give us Margarito, nor did he give us the Khan fight where we find out how truly good his skill level is at against a younger, quicker, faster, and harder punching fighter.
