In 2006 Floyd Mayweather beat the #1 & #2 ranked Welterweights at 147lbs. Carlos Baldomir and Zab Judah were those 2.

In 2006 Antonio Margarito fought Manuel Gomez and Joshua Clottey.

Floyd fought Baldomir in Nov of 2006. Floyd was already in talks to fight de la Hoya. Go back and watch the Mayweather - Baldomir broadcast, HBO was already starting promoting the DLH-PBF fight.

Margarito fought Clottey in Dec of 2006. Everyone knew DLH-PBF was going to happen in May of 2007, which it did and 2 months after PBF beat DLH, margarito lost to Paul Williams. Floyd went on to defeat the undefeated, top 10 p4p list, belt holder at 2 weights at the time.

Now tell me how did he duck Margarito?:huh.
