Floyd can see when a fighter has the style to beat him.

Why are you hellbent on defending Mayweather, even if it takes distortion of facts on many levels?

You're portraying Maidana to be Robert Duran. Honestly. Margarito does have a good jab, he uses his height well, he feints very well, lands far more, non-stop so as to overwhelm - I could go on but words will fall on blind eyes.

The problem with Mayweather is that his defensive vulnerabilities have ALWAYS been the same and has done nothing significant to address them. In plain words, he shuts down when met with high volume, pressure fighting.
A MAJOR reason why he sees it through is because his opponents have been known to gas out over the stretch. Margarito however has unusual stamina.

I'm not even saying Mayweather would lose to Margarito, but it IS a real possibility. This is not the Mayweather of 130 or 135.

You act as if PBF only stands around in the shoulder roll. How many prime PBF fights have you seen? No in his prime he had some of the best and fastest feet in boxing. He would move around Margo with ease. He won't simply shell up when he can simply move away. Margo has plodding footwork he could never cut the ring off on PBF consistantly enough to win rounds on top of that he has slow hands and would be swinging at air most of the night. Lastly Margo's doesn't use his height well he gives it up by trying to get inside he doesn't fight tall. His jab is garbage the very fact you say he has a good jab shows how you will say anything to be heard and further your agenda. What's next? Margo has good defense or underrated handspeed?:rofl:D

Why do you try so hard to make marg out to be some unstoppable force.

If you're being honest and saying a prime marg could cause a 38 year old fmj problems, then I totally agree, as would 99% of the fighters fmj whooped during his career.

When marg was a contender and wishing on a fmj fight, fmj was still serviceable enough to beat him easily in a total mismatch. But, you're too stuck on every hypothetical match with fmj must be a prime opponent with those absolute worst version on fmj..

Now, read my post carefully and clearly a few times and think about your posting on this joke matchup

    I said they had SIMILARITIES.

Big, strong, physical pressure fighters who pour forward, whilst ignoring defence.

I now realise now how foolish I was, to have even tried to debate Floyd's career with you.

Not once have I said Marg would have beaten him. But I think stylistically, Floyd would have had his hands full.

I think Maidana would always have given Floyd problems too.

    Regarding Oscar:

    1. Oscar would probably have conceded, as he was desperate for a rematch.

    2. Floyd would still have made huge money, as it would still have done crazy numbers.

You can believe what you want. But in my opinion, a guy who's in the 'cheque cashing business' doesn't walk away from a huge money fight to spend time with his family. It seems to me the first fight was too close to comfort.

Regarding your link, I don't mind that Floyd didn't fight Marg and instead went with better options. What I'm saying is, there's no guarantee that Floyd would have fought Marg, even if Marg had been the better option. I don't think Floyd would have wanted to have fought a pressure fighter who was bigger and stronger than him, who also possessed a slightly bigger reach.

As a neutral and someone who was on the fence reading these views it seems that margarita would indeed be a stylistic nightmare to mayweather

I don't know if you're really neutral or not, but if you think Margarita would be a "stylistic nightmare" then your knowledge and understanding of boxing extremely poor.

You sound like a 5 year old kid.

Is everyone who criticises Floyd or types anything negative about him a PBF HATER?

A big, strong pressure fighter wouldn't have caused him huge problems?

Did I imagine the smaller Maidana giving Floyd a horrible nights work?

    A 5'7 Maidana, with a 69" reach.

    Compared to a 5'11 Marg, with a 73" reach.

What, he struggled with one, but he'd have beaten the other with consummate ease?

Margarito is still a lot bigger than Mayweather. The thing about Margarito is that he's just so tough and his workrate is so high that he will just walk to Mayweather and just keep punching him.

Ok how did the world beater Rodney Jones beat him then surely Rodney Jones is underrated and should be an ATG?
