Post-plaster Margarito doesn't beat the brakes off of anyone. He was finished, either as a result of the beating Mosley gave him or as a result of mysteriously no longer having his punching power.

I don't even think that's true. We'd more likely IMO end up seeing Floyd dance away to a 12-0 decision while the plodder plods.

 

I love Tony and I acknowledge he would do to Maidana what he did to Sergio and Cintron but he would have trouble stalking Floyd b'cause we know that these guys who fight on the back foot and use the ropes and lateral movement are tricky and Tony did not well with Paul Williams who was flowing back and forth. I say put Tim Bradley who we saw twice against Pac and against JMM and Floyd will have his hands full.

I don't rate Margarito at all, but at least I can envision a scenario where he potentially wins against Floyd. I can't say the same for Bradley, who does literally nothing better than Mayweather.
