He wasnt forced to do ****, he could have easily dumped that belt and fought Cotto, but rather than to do the FMJ route about this **** the man actually has a bit a pride he chose to defend this title so that the public will see he is not a hypocrite unlike Mayweather Jr.

whats funny is how all the Floyd fans were saying that he should drop the WBO title and get ranked so he can force a mandotory shot at Floyd, yet when this fight came up the idea of dropping it did come to the mind of Margarito but the same people who said he should drop it turned around and said he was ducking Williams.

Margarito was not forced to take this fight, you cant force someone to fight, he made the choice to take this fight, becuase he does respect this sport becuase he does respect the fans and because he has honor and pride the way a true champion should.

So you know what, you should respect this guy, simply becuase he isnt cherry picking fights simply because he is willing to take what you all call a risky fight rather than his Payday he has been looking for.
That there is something that has been missing from the sport and thank god for guys like Margarito.

 

Cotto would have fought him how do you know he wouldnt have? Both guys have the same promoter that fight was all but done until this mandotory came up, and Tony was considering dumping the WBO title to move forward with the Cotto fight, so where do you get your info from?
The WBO title means nothing anyways and Cotto has had the WBA title before they were talking about making this fight happen, or did you forget that?

 

You might think that but the top elite at Welter weight seem to see something in Tony that you all dont every single one of them turned him down hell even Winky Wright turned him down, for someone to just be a bum or an easy nights of work these guys making these claims of having a easy nights work with him some how never find their way to the job.
Margarito has beat more notable fighters who were willing to fight him than this Williams kid thats for sure and he doesnt have a bad resume he just cant make Floyd, Shane, Winky, Oscar or any of the rest of the top welters and jr Middles fight him, they are scared **** less.

it was up to him and I will tell you why, because people started to say he was going to duck Williams and Margarito did not want to carry that kind of image with in himself, he doesnt want people to say the same things about him that they say about Mayweather so he decides to take the fight and prove he ducks nobody, unlike Mayweather

 

You're making the initial claim, it's your burden to prove that Mayweather, Wright, Mosley, and De La Hoya are scared to fight Margarito.
