Check the puchstats: Mayweather is BY FAR the boxer agains whom opponents land the least (both in relative and absolute values) and is BY FAR the boxer with the highest landing percentage. A "slow" and somewhat defensively unskilled fighter like Margarito is nothing to change that trend.

Margarito on the other hand lands just about as much as his opponents land on him.

Lets see here. Championship fight = 12 rounds. You find something you think is significant that occurs in only 4 rounds MAX (more like 3 rounds) and you think it's some blueprint to beating Margarito?

News for you newbie. A) Clottey tires in fights. He does when he's being pressured. Gutierrez and Baldomir both proved that. B) Both guys were injured. That was common knowledge going into the fight. C) Margarito hit Clottey PLENTY as the fight wore on and before he got on his bike in the 10th, Clottey was worn for wear in the 9th. He looked ready to go.

Anyone who has gotten in the ring with this Margarito has tasted leather. Cotto is gonna have to seriously man up in this fight to win. He won't be winning by being slick, elusive, or the better boxer (whatever that means). He's gonna have to win it on GUTS. Doing what Clottey did is no kinda answer. I have told you numerous times, yokel, that everyone who has been in with Margarito of recent memory has tasted leather. Every one of them. Short, fat, tall, thin, fast, slow, whatever. Doesn't matter. This obviously includes Joshua Clottey who put in his best work in 3 short rounds against Margarito. A fight he lost btw.

Has it ever occured to you that guys with decent handspeed and footspeed have tried to utilize those assets against Margarito? Has it ever occured to you that speed is not the end all and be all in boxing?
