Investigation? The fight happened on July 2008, and the investigation began after the Mosley fight on January 2009. The move up in weight by Cotto came in 2010. Please, get your facts straight and do some research. Why did Cotto avoided the immediate rematch with Margo during the 6 months that the plaster wasn't an issue?

There was never a window of opportunity for a cotto/marg immediate rematch. There was also never a guarantee that Margarito would EVER get licensed to fight in the states again, which is why his license for the pac fight was such a big deal at the time. Remember that from July 2008 - Jan. 2009 (the span you're ignoring, which is BEFORE ALL THE PLASTER ISSUE HAPPENED) neither of them fought, and Margo decided to take on Mosley as Cotto never wanted any part of him. There was a 6-month window to fight, Cotto fought the very next month against Michael Jennings.

Look at Cotto's Face after the Mosley fight, when Mosley hit Cotto upstairs way more and way more cleaner then Margo. Still after that fight, Cotto didnt nearly have a scratch on him in that fight.
