Yeah, you have to use fresh gauze, the old gauze he used was not allowed. Nobody is denying that he couldn't do that, the issue is with this plaster of paris myth, which is bull****.

Who gives a **** if its plaster of paris or the arm of a teddy bear, it was illegal to load your gloves with anything. So this thread is about not debunking the cheating myth, rather its about debunking how he cheated?:rofl:lol:

You are contradicting yourself. In your own quote, he said "not hard as a rock, but firm and hard." This was old gauze pads being used, that's all his trainer admitted to. Plaster Of Paris IS HARD AS A ROCK, IT IS USED FOR MAKING CASTS. The link has already been posted in this thread where the trainer said it was old gauze, so yes, he did say that.

Yes, using the old gauze was against the rules, but HE DID NOT USE LOADED GLOVES.

Oh yeah, no big difference between using old gauze and using material used to set casts...

    SERIOUSLY WTF

Old gauze isn't loading your gloves either.

At the hearing, Margarito claimed he did not know what was in the wraps, while Capetillo admitted to making "a big mistake" by placing the wrong inserts into Margarito's hand wraps. The commission voted unanimously to revoke Margarito and Capetillo's licenses for at least one year. While it found Margarito did not know about the gloves, it took the line that as head of the team, he was responsible for Capetillo's actions.

SO rather it was plaster or not, there was something illegal that was about to be used in his gloves....deal with it!!...Why make a thread about this?

DId capatillo say it was old gauze? Margarito just claims to have no knowledge of the gloves being loaded. Do you think the NSAC and the CAC would do all this to conspire against margarita? They did all this over old gauze? They had hearings & got legal counsel involved over old gauze?

Yes, old gauze was illegal in his gloves, you have to use new gauze every time. My point was that his gloves weren't loaded, which I've proved.

YES CAPATILLO DID SAY EXACTLY THAT, IT HAS BEEN POSTED IN THIS THREAD ALREADY. He said he used old gauze, the end.

Oh, and care to stop ignoring these points?

Care to refute any of the following points?

    > Cleveland Williams showed in his test that plaster of paris would crack and break into a million pieces when it broke into chunks after just one punch on the heavybag. How are there not chunks of plaster all inside of Margo's gloves?

    > Why did the manufacturer of plaster of paris explicitly state that it couldn't be used in such a fashion?

    > How would Margo's hands not have shattered if he had a "brick like substance" directly on his hands? Hands are very delicate.

    > If there was PoP on the wraps, how would it not be dead obvious? It would have been set by then, you'd literally see the plaster all over it.

    > Trace elements were found, not nearly enough for what he would have needed

    > All the other facts I posted in the original post.

Its illegal to use anyting but fresh gauze.
Old made up knucklepads are moistened with sweat with every use and are compressed offering a firmer piece.

You can only compress fresh gauze so much, but a used one thats been previously wet through sweat is compressed that you can add more fresh gauze on top and not have it look so bulky.

Its illegal but I dont reckon it causes much more damage than a fresh piece of guaze would.
I would guess that you gain some advantage using it, but not enough to tear someones face with it.
Plaster of Paris it is not!

    This.

Also, if you LISTEN to Margo's punches, before and after, there is a definite difference in how they sound. That's all the evidence I need.
