When you beat a legend, you become a legend. Enough said!

Too bad Tarver couldn't do this when Roy was still good, he did when he got old and weight drained.

I think Tarver gets a little underrated around here, he wasn't a bad fighter by any means and did beat some solid names besides Roy

Roy Jones was NOT considered unbeatable after their 1st fight. In fact there are many that felt that Tarver won that one as well.

Yes.The 40+year old B-hop that was edged twice at middleweight by none other than Jermaine Taylor convincingly beat Tarver at lightheavy.Tarver was a good not great lightheavy. If Hopkins spoke about how Hopkins made him look silly as often as Antonio bragged bout ko'ing Jones,Tarver wouldn't have his TV gig as he'd be losing his composure all the time.

"...he wasn't a bad fighter...","...he did beat some solid names besides Roy...".Are you sure you want to claim that Tarver is "a little underrated" on ESB?

If I was the 1st person to knock out Jones, I'd never shut up about it either.

That was one hell of a shock at the time.

Especially after the "excuses" bit Tarver pulled.

I used to hate Tarver a lot. I couldn't wait for Jones to kick his ass badly.

But Jones acted like a ****ing *****. in their 3rd fight, Jones had a ral chance of koing Tarver but he was to reluctant to go on.

As such, Jones deserved what he is getting from Tarver.

Tarver only exposed RJJ's glass chin at a time when Roy had slowed down a bit. It could have been anyone decent who did so. Tarver was a decent fighter but certainly not a great and he should also retire and try and offer some proper analysis on TV, not brag about that fight all the time!

I beg to differ sir; Hopkins was robbed not edged. I would like to comment on the rest of your post but I just cant quite understand that Hokins spoke about how Hopkins part. Would you be kind enough to rewind that and then run it back at me so that I might address it properly. Thank you.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Im not saying tarver's great, but he gets a lot of undeserved hate on these forums. Like today, people are bashing tarver and discrediting this victory because danny greens old too. The ****? Who cares, danny green knocked jones ass out big time and no one was talking about his age before hand. Tarver is 42, thats pretty old no matter how you look at it, and you can point to hopkins doing the same thing more impressively, but the fact that tarvers still fighting like this at 42 is pretty remarkable. If fighting and winning at that age is "easy" why aren't more people doing it?

If I knocked out Roy Jones Jr in the second round and gave him his first proper defeat, I'd watch the film every week too. ****, I might watch it every single day when I wake up. Just to get off to a good start and put myself in a good mood.
