prime oscar beats him. oscar lost his legs forever in the trinidad fight, but before that, he was operating at a higher level. floyd never faced someone that good, that big.

Floyd managed his career better. He picked his matchups and the conditions they were to be fought under to his own benefit pretty much for the entire second half of his career. Whilst he’s not book smart Floyd was very business smart as well as having a huge boxing IQ. Floyd did drop rounds in numerous fights and had some boring fights where he didn’t look that sensational (although aside from JLC 1 he didn’t really come close to losing any fights, maybe Maidana 1 I suppose).

If Roy retired at 35 after the Ruiz fight without dropping down in weight (muscle weight at that) RJJ would be considered one of the most dominant and remarkable boxers ever. Unfortunately he didn’t do that but how ordinary he became afterwards doesn’t invalidate what a superb fighter he actually was in his pomp.

This whole argument is pretty bloody childish by both of them. Both were great fighters and had great careers. Why the pi55ing contest about it now they’re both retired?

Jones looked great fighting the Otis Grant’s, Glen Kelly’s, Richard Frazier’s, and Richard Hall’s. These guys were no hopers. Lou Del Valle was able to get to that Glass Jaw. Tarver and feather fisted Glen Johnson shattered Roy’s Glass Jaw. Roy had a very fortunate run at Light Heavyweight. He never fought the #1 guy and had a lot of handpicked fights or soft touch mandatory fights

And yet Tarver is the one who proved that Roy is beatable by, y'know, starching him in the 2nd. But no-one ever did that to Floyd, who himself was fighting much better opposition than Roy was. Roy was a big fish in a small pond, the LHW division he ruled over wasn't a very strong one and the few guys capable of testing him like Tarver and Dariusz Michalchewski, he opted to avoid for the majority of his reign. Roy routinely fought the Andre Bertos of his division in his prime, while Mayweather instead usually fought higher calibre fighters who pushed him further and so won more rounds off him.

    Nobody is unbeatable

Floyd managed his opponents very carefully

Usyk is the closest to unbeatable of the modern era he atleast fought anyone anywhere anytime which doesn't hold true for Floyd. His problem is he turned pro relatively late so couldn't wrack up a big resume nor was the competition stacked but that's not his fault.

If usyk retires undefeated Floyd will either prove he's an idiot by trying to put Usyk down and claim he did more or he will be smart and not saying anything but that man's ego is dirty.

As I already said to you before RJJ did fight the number 1 who was Tarver at Light Heavyweight and beat him in their 1st encounter.

And also fought 5 top 5 ranked Light Heavyweights during his prime Hill, Griffin, Del Valle, Johnson, Harding.

Do some research about a fighter.

RJJ never avoided Tarver that's false.

Tarver could've got a shot at RJJ earlier but he got his jaw broken and beaten up by Harding in the later rounds and lost clearly hence Harding got his shot at RJJ instead.

RJJ avoided Tarver so much that he moved down from Heavyweight to fight him ? That's an oxymoron.

RJJ also never avoided Michalczewski either its because neither fighter wanted to travel that's called a stalemate.

Would Mayweather the same fighter you're bigging up travel to Germany ? I think not over half of his fights were in Las Vegas.

Is it though? Literal is not the same as official. In his opinion, Castillo beat Floyd. So, literally is correct, as in not figuratively.
