    I think you're 100 % correct.I hated him as a fighter,but as a commentator,he is excellent.Funny how he puts his ego aside a does a damn good job.

Thing is, Steward isn't particularly good either, he just looks good compared to Lennox. Steward has a ton of knowledge, but he seems to have a lot of problems putting his thoughts into words other than just making conclusory statements. Once in a while, he'll say something that helps explain why what's happening in the ring is going on, but not nearly enough. Usually he just says stuff that would be obvious to anyone, or just gives conclusions without any analysis.

Lennox has trouble putting two words together sometimes. He's downright awful. I think Tarver's done a pretty good job so far. Heck, even Nate Campbell and Shannon Briggs did better than Lewis when they guested on FNF. BJ Flores is good in the studio, but I don't like him as much ringside. He just has no excitement in his voice at all, so while what he says is intelligent, it just doesn't help get you in the mood to watch a fight. After Wlad knocked out Chagaev, he sounded like he just watched someone paint a house.

Tarver also notices a lot of little things that the other announcers seem oblivious to

I always pray for someone to kick his ass in the ring, but I enjoy him as a commentator. He's well spoken and more articulate than Jones, but Jones has more insight to offer. Both are vastly superior to Lewis.

I like the Milk Dud of mics way better than the Milk Dud of malice.

Relaxation comes with time. Same thing in any profession.

Showtime normally has good commentators unlike HBO

Yeah, he also does Knicks games on MSG once in a while when he's filling in. He might do the radio broadcast of the Knicks as well, I'm not sure anymore.

And personally, I don't really care for him as a commentator in general(note: I've only heard him do boxing once, and I thought he was ok then). But as long as the "play-by-play" guys don't get too overbearing, I'm fine with it.

I did like Tarver, and, while I can see why people don't like Lennox, I think he's awesome!! Some of the stuff he says, coupled with the way he says it, is just GOLD!!

It's been unfortunate for Lennox that while he's still learning the ropes, he's been paired up with another live broadcast newbie in Kellerman. Lennox would come off much better if he had Lampley and Merchant to balance him out the way they used to carry Foreman.
