Tarver throws four or five meaningless punches and Dawson strafes him to the body. My interest in this fight wanes as I've sort of figured out the pattern at this point. Dawson is muscling Tarver around as Antonio is really trying as hard as he can. Tarver just can't maintain it for 3 hard minutes. Chad Dawson ducks a lunging Tarver and decides to simply take this fight from a distance. Tarver JUST misses a big right but thats been the theme. Tarver is certainly a game duck but a cooked one.

Tarver looks old as hell, and doesnt have much left. Chad can stop him.

A pattern is emerging in which Dawson just solidly outperforms Tarver each round. His defense is looking better than it was in previous fights, as well. A couple of good combinations in the sixth and Dawson takes it.

    59-55 Dawson

I have it similar to Lederman although round 4 could've gone either way.

    Round 6

Tarver more active this round, not landing anything major but keeping the punches coming. There aren't enough clean punches landed in this fight it's mostly based on activity, Tarver doesn't seem to land strong punches to avoid getting tired in my opinion. Dawson looks to have taken that round off too or Tarver just landed more.

    Tarver round

    two things....
is tarver trying that lazy foreman/moorer type shot to
lure him into a big one?
looks like he's throwing 2-3 pitty pat shots, then loading
up on his last 2 when he throws combos.
or, is he just that slow and weak?

Dawson lands some good body punches and a shot to the head as Milk Dud is certainly game. Lot more infighting than in their first fight really. Dawson muscles Tarver into the corner as the clinch fest continues. Tarver MAY have hurt Dawson with a big uppercut but now Dawson comes back with a lot of strong punches. Tarver looked like he threw everything he had into those punches. Both guys certainly went ALL OUT in a minute. I'll give it to Tarver for the stronger punches.

    5-2

This is a tougher round to score. Dawson effectively won the first two minutes like he normally has been, but Tarver answered with a great last minute. I'll go with Tarver, though it may be a relative scoring.

    68-65 Dawson
